Due to a medical condition I am trying to cancel my membership so far I have spent over an hour I cant do it at the gym I am not allowed so far I have been hanging on the phone 55 minutes and not got through this combined with the 3 strikes if you miss a class policy and their inability to repair broken equipment and facilities Hairdrier, Jacuzzis steam room made it a hit and miss experience at the best of times

DW IN MERTHYR SOUTH WALES ARE VERY BAD, VERY DIRTY THEY DONT CLEAN AT ALL THE STAFF ONLY LIKE YOU WHEN YOU SIGN UP AFTER THAT THEY WILL MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE AND I HAVE HEARD THIS MY SELF AND THEY DONT LIKE OVER WEIGHT PEOPLE AT ALL AND THE HEAD OFFICE ONLY LIKE YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE A BIT ABOUT MEMBERS, THEY HAVE LOST LOST OF MEMBERS AND SOME STAFF ARE FED UP,THERE IS A PROTEST ON FACEBOOK TOO, FACEBOOK DWPROTEST. DONT JOIN

I find booking classes is hard, they are always full and unless you are poised and ready on your computer early in the morning you will not get a booking and have to put yourself forward a reserve.

Dunstable has a reasonably decent pool, only thing I do not like is that the jacuzzi is right next to the pool and they are always full of fat blokes who do nothing else but sit in there watching, as a female it makes me very uncomfortable. I do wish they had female only sessions.

And as others have pointed out it takes ages for any equipment to be fixed.

I have been a member since it opened and find it rapidly going down hill. Equipment is constantly braking down and it takes weeks to be repaired. The repair company they have a contract with needs to be kicked up the rear end as there service is abysmal to say the least. I think Mr DW is only interested in money and not the members who pay him no wonder they are loosing members at a rate if knots

1.Changed closing time!

2.Kick you out of the steam/Jacuzzi/Swimming Pool 1 hour before closing!!

3.Fitted water saving taps (push button, 10 seconds of water if you are lucky!)

4.Only open 1 Jacuzzi when not as busy

5. No Soap in Showers

I have been with DW sports (BOLTON) for over 3 years now and watch this place go down hill despite putting up prices, since I first joined up.

I have a Full Peak Membership and last week I was told they are now changing there Friday closing time from 22:00 to 21:00 because Head Office and told them too. I was not happy about this as I use this service until 22:00 on Fridays and of course DW are going to compensate it customers for this change.

Today, Friday 05 July 2013 I arrived early because of the new closing times and I was kicked out of the Steam Room /Jacuzzi/Swimming Pool at 20:00 even though they had told me they are open until 21:00.

I walked 3 miles tonight to use this facility to be thrown out within 10 minutes of using it. This is a complete disgrace and as my membership run out in August I will be looking elsewhere. The place now looks like they are running it down.

DW Sports & Fitness are a very Tired Fitness Club  since DW took over. 

DW cost savings exercises are ruining the clubs

I have been a member since 2006 since they changed from JJB to DW the clubs have deteriorated. 

If any of the equipment brakes down then a very long wait to repair. 

Two  Jacuzzis but on quiet nights they shut one down and cover it up to save money so six people need to squeeze in one Jacuzzi ok if your friendly but not good if you pay peak prices for half the services. 

The steam room has been faulty for a long time no sign of repair in the near future. 

Water saving taps in the pool area not put in to help members just anther DW cost cutting exercise. 

Charges to replace old membership cards that have small bar code on to the new ones with bigger bar codes the readers can read.  

Why should they be able to charge to replace undamaged cards because they have changed the system.
