My wife purchased this a couple of years ago and it is a top trolley. I still use a Powakaddy Freeway which has also been good for the last 12 months. However I paid twice as much as my wife. Each time we play her battery still shows full power after a full round whereas mine drops to less than 40%. Her trolley is also lighter than mine. Overall both trolleys are good but for the price she paid I have to rate her's more than mine. Good trolley at a good price.

I have owned Pro Rider trolleys for a number of years. I recently upgraded my standard trolley to a remote model as after 6 years of regular use I felt it time to upgrade. My old trolley needed a new wheel after a mishap in my garage (kids...) Pro Rider staff responded quickly to my enquiry and sent the replacement wheel the next day. I have since passed this trolley to my nephew and it is working well. My remote trolley is performing well and the design is very good. It navigates well up the steep fairways at my course in Devon and many golfers at my club have commented on its stylish appearance. Unfortuantely it has not helped my game though. My tour bag fits on it easily and securely and the remote handset is simple to use. I can also use it as a standard trolley but I prefer to stick with the handset. Overall a good buy and recommended to fellow struggling golfers. I play off 17 and hope to get to 14 by next year.

Great trolley but totally let down by the service you receive. My controller unit was playing up 6 months into my warranty and instead of the 5 star return to base warranty they sent me out a unit to fit myself. It's never worked properly since, i argued that they should have taken it back repaired it but they were not interested. By the time I bit the bullet to get it sorted out it was out of warranty they didn't care that it was their issue a it went faulty in warranty. My remote controlled trolley now lasts around 14 holes before the controller unit plays up and tells me the battery is dead and I mess around with it for the last 4 holes trying to get it through 18. This is a trolley that is supposed to last 36 holes I don't even bother with the remote control now as it wont even last 9 holes before messing around with it. To add insult to injury I asked for a charger unit as the charger light doesn't change green and they couldn't even get that delivered in time for my golf tour 6 working days later. In the end the charger never turned up not even sure they ever sent one! Long and short DON'T BUY ONE GO FOR A PROPER WELL KNOWN GOLFING COMPANY

My wife bought my trolley in October 14 for my birthday. I agree with this report, my trolley was 8 months old when I first noticed it started to attempt a circle, after a bit it appeared OK. On 23rd October 15 it started doing circles again, then stopped completely, I contacted Pro Rider, they didn't want to know, after checking everything with parts from a friends exact trolley I found the control unit located in the base was the problem. I got on to Pro Rider and after several email messages, all I got was it is out of warranty, that I already knew, I have only used the buggy for no more than 20 rounds. The after service was very poor, a decent company would have replaced a faulty electrical unit as it obviously was, just as yours. It is a very easy unit to replace if I can get one.
I have been hearing some terrible reports regarding this machine, they are obviously doing very well with larger mobility vehicles an probably see golf buggies as a secondary consideration, thus the reason why other golf repair centres do not get involved an will nor repair Pro Rider machines. Try to get a part direct OR on line?

I have been using powered golf trolleys for a while now due to dodgy knee.I previously used a Motacaddy and the trolley was a good build - not so much the seller I purchased from though. I recently decided to upgrade and went for a Pro Rider lithium model. I ordered the trolley over the phone after receiving good advice from a young lady on the phone. My main concern after my last experience with a different seller was the after care should anything go wrong. I was assured that this would not be an issue as Pro Rider had a large scale after sales department. I used the trolley for 6 months and all was well. Then I had an accident when I dropped the trolley out of the boot and dislodged the side wheel.I contacted Pro Rider and explained the situation. The service man on the phone went through everything with me and promised me a new wheel within 3 days. I was very pleased when he said there would be no charge and they would send the part including postage at their cost as they wanted me sorted asap. The part arrived within 2 days and a clear instruction sheet how to clip the wing mirror on with a phone number for me to call should I have any questions about attaching the part. This was overall a very pleasurable experience and I would certainly use such a company again. Well done Pro Rider...

good trolley when it works after sale is much to be desired .I wouldn't touch one if I know what the after sales was like . this is my view.

Bought myself a new golf trolley 24 months ago from Pro Rider and have been very impressed with their after sales service. The trolley is light and yet robust. It is by far the most powerful trolley I have ever had and I have used most makes. The battery power never seems to drop even when completing the round. I did 36 holes yesterday and still had plenty of power left. I called them yesterday to order a new part as I had a little accident and I was amazed to see them offer me the part free as I was passing by their service centre. This for me warranted my review as I had not expected such outstanding service. They have informed me they are currently moving to a larger premises due to expansion and this is no surprise to me. I recently convinced by golfing partner to order one due to her struggling with a push trolley. She went for the lithium model and has had good service from it. I would recommend this company to fellow golfers.

I purchased a golf trolley in 2014, first problem speed control wheel came off, I was sent a new one, advised to put it on with super glue, then folding bracket snapped had to send it back for new one to be fitted, was told factory fault, this was repaired, then crack appeared in handle, handle was also coming apart, trolley sent back for repair, now the spindle on the drive wheel has fell apart, I have asked for a refund or new trolley but this has been declined. As the trolley is still under warranty how can they say no to each request, although the customer service is good they have their hands tied.

I wanted to say a thank you to Pro Rider for their assistance with my golf trolley. My husband bought me one 2 years back when I took up the game. It has been a good machine and I have faired well with it. Recently I had a little accident in a lake... I won't go into that as it is embarrassing. Sffice to say my trolley got one heck of a soaking. I didn't want my husband to know and I confided in Pro Rider. Even being well out of warranty they kindly issued several new parts free of charge and didn't charge me for the labour. I can not thank them enough. Even though my husband did found out but took it well. Pro Rider wanted no payment but I felt I had to repay them with reporting this event. Next time I will not be so daft.

Purchased a Pro Rider trolley a few years back after my Powakaddy gave up the ghost. The PK was a good trolley and lasted me several years so I was happy with them. I was hesitant at first as the Pro Rider was half the price at £199 however, as my wife was treating me I didn't want to buy a more expensive one. Recently I decided to upgrade and have now purchased their remote version. My original trolley has lasted over 5 years and the battery is still going strong. I was pleased to learn I could use the same battery in the remote one. I paid an extra £100 for the remote one and after 2 outings it is certainly a lot of fun although I spend time playing with the trolley instead of focusing on my game. The remote model is heavier than the standard model so I would not recommend for golfers lacking strength. I can not fault the company as they have been very professional including a service I had last year on my original trolley. I would certainly recommend Pro Rider and also have to say my Powakaddy was a good buy although more expensive. I have not tried other brands so can not comment but a friend of mine has a Motocaddy and he likes it.

I have ordered 2 Pro Rider Electric Golf Trolleys the first lithium powered in 2012. It had a poor battery life, and before being injured and then a long spell of illness, never finished a round of golf, the battery died by the 15th hole. This year with my health improved I used the trolley again, and yes the same poor battery life faults.I looked at the problem and discovered the black plastic box with electric connections was sitting firmly on the axle of the trolley. I filed down the corners and leading edge of the plastic box and now, the trolley, free from obstruction, goes well. Stupidly it seems,I bought another Pro Rider electric trolley for my wife a month ago. Upon receipt I checked the underside of the trolley and YES, exactly the same problem. Is this a manufacturing fault, but where are the quality control people at Pro Rider. Non-existant it seems, as I find it impossible to believe that in two years, I am the only person who received two different trolleys with exactly the same fault, what are the odds of that? I have written to Pro Rider and await their reply with interest. Buyers beware of the eBay advert.

Received my Prorider golf trolley yesterday. Ordered Monday afternoon and delivered Wednesday lunchtime. Everything in perfect working order and looks great. Got all the free goodies with it including brolly holder, carry bag, rain cover etc. Not used the trolley yet so will leave another review after a few months but it makes a nice change when an item is delivered on time.

Upgraded from my old Pro Rider model and been very impressed with the quality. Good price and had no issues. It is light and easy to carry and worth the extra money for the lithium battery as it hardly weighs anything. Very happy with the performance and power to.

Bought 4 of these Pro Rider trolleys 3 years ago for my 4 ball. 3 of us had no issues at all and one friend had to change the battery last week. The trolleys are well built and when Jim phoned about the new battery it arrived the next day and just in time for our weekly game. Been very impressed with the strength of the motor and how easy to handle the trolley is. I have just purchased another one last week as another golfing colleague made me an offer I couldn't refuse for my one. I have owned different trolleys over the years and would certainly recommend the Pro Rider as one of the better ones.

First week needed a new speed controller, then another one within a year, now on my third. Then the left wheel was spinning slower than the right so had a severe left bias. This caused me to strain tendons on my right arm trying to keep the thing straight. After being advised by their technician it was probably the left clutch I paid and was sent a right clutch. After admitting they got it wrong they would send out th left one. I was then emailed four days later to say they would not send until they received the other one back. I then had to fight them for the postage cost I paid to return. after all this I fitted the left clutch and guess what, no change. I finally found for myself it was a small split pin sheared and I fixed for a few pence. Now the trolley keeps switching itself off and it's a nightmare trying to get round the gf course. Now been advised by pro rider it's probably the ECU costing another £40. It's been nothing but grief and I'm thinking of biting the bullet and purchasing a Moto caddy.

We bought 2 Prorider trolleys - one of the batteries failed after less than 12 months but due to illness (cancer treatment of partner)was not reported until13months following purchase. The company just stuck to their rigid policy of 12 month warranty despite me explaining how it had only been used infrequently because of the circumstances. The other battery still functioning well and that of two friends, because of this contacted company again saying my battery must have been faulty - did not get anywhere. Luckily have a 10 year old battery from previous trolley and this is coping with 18 holes with no problem! We also bought winter wheels and after one limited winter use are showing considerable wear and tear -told it is normal!!! In each case there was no acknowledgement that this company's products (they claimed to manufacture the battery) could be considered to be ' not fit for purpose' . My regret is that I did not contact the Legal service at Which to challenge them but their cynical attitude to complaints leaves a very unpleasant taste in your mouth - so hopes this serves as a warning to people Don't wait even one day after the warranty expires to contact them

I bought my Prorider electric golf trolley in June 2013. All went well untill june 2014 when the controller failed just in warranty and was replaced. Three weeks out of warranty the battery failed in spite of beiing charged after each use about once or twice a week. I know batteries wear out but not in 12 months (3 months of that due to winter weather it was not used), on my Powakaddy I have had batteries last for 4 years!. I complained to Prorider who sent me a sheet on battery maintenence which clearly indicates that you should work on 18 to 24 months for battery life. I explained that mine lasted only 12 months but they refused to replace it as it was just out of warranty which I find very harsh. Clearly these trollies (and batteries) are of dubious quality sold by a company that strictly operates warranty dates without a modicum of flexibility. I will not be purchasing again and will revert to a trolley that has a reputation for quality as it seems you only get what you pay for.

I bought the ProRider trolley nearly two years ago and it has performed well enough, although the strap broke within a month. Recently it stopped working and I rang ProRider for advice. Having listened to my description of what was wrong they suggested I purchase a new control panel. I did this but the trolley remained in the same state, so I rang again and this time they suggested I dismantle the motor and return it to them as it could be repaired under the 4 year guarantee. I did as instructed and refitted my original control panel, sending back the one they had sent me with an explanation. In a commendably short time, the motor was returned together with a note saying that the control panel was working fine (!)and that the motor had been stripped down and should now also be OK. Indeed it is and I am quite happy with it. However ProRider flatly refuse to take back the control panel even though it was their diagnosis that led me to purchase it in the first place. Logically I suppose they could recommend any number of things I did not need and refuse to take them back.

I recently wrote the following letter to the ProRider Customer Service Manager: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Pro Rider Golf Trolley - £199.00 – purchased 28-2-2011 Dear Sir, I play golf twice a week or less throughout the year. I purchased the above trolley in February 2011, and for the first 12 months I was very happy with it. Just after 12 months a clutch went, and that was kindly replaced without charge by yourselves. However, within the last 12 months or so, I have had to replace a pair of wheel treads as one of the originals split causing it to roll continually off the wheel. Also, I had to buy a couple of wheels as one of the clips which holds the wheel on to the axle wore away, resulting in the wheel falling off. These clips could be sold for a few pounds I'm sure. Since then a second clutch has broken – I am still awaiting delivery of that. Also, I recently had to replace the battery, with a new Pro Rider battery which I bought off Ebay. Incidentally, the new battery didn't fit the original battery bag, which I have had to just throw away. A couple of weeks ago, I was playing in heavy rain, and the electrics went haywire. I could switch the trolley on and off, but I couldn't control the speed. It developed a mind of its own, but typically would only travel on the number 1 setting which is far too slow to be useable. I managed to struggle around and finish on that day. Today, my first round after the heavy rainfall, the trolley started okay but then I couldn't stop it with the normal start/stop button. Incidentally, the plastic cover on this button has long since cracked, and the switch has become difficult to activate cleanly every time. On today's round, I had to switch off the trolley with the power on/off button. After that I couldn't start the trolley at all, and had to ditch it in favour of a golf club push trolley. As you can imagine, I am no longer happy with my Pro Rider trolley. I would appreciate your comments on the above and whether you think this is acceptable for a 3 year old trolley. I personally do not think it is acceptable. I bought the trolley on the basis of your comments on your website about customer care and after sales service, but it would seem that your product is not particularly serviceable without pouring in good money after bad. If this is typical, I would doubt that you will be able to sustain a golf trolley business, given the ease with which poor reviews can spread quickly on social media. Given its relative age, and the amount of money I have recently spent on it, only to end up with a still unusable trolley, I propose that you offer to take it back for a service at your expense. I look forward to your comments, -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the response I received from ProRider: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have received your letter thank you for taking the time in sending us your comments, we always try to improve our services and customers feedback helps strive to make it better. I can see you have a trouble free period with your Golf Cart along with one or two niggles, which we have helped you along the way. We are available for assistance at the end of the phone, and most parts are readily available and easy self-fit. Warranty periods for items are strictly adhered to meaning your One year cover as standard will come to an end of this period. Anything outside of the standard cover would undermine the customers whom have paid to Extend their warranty and make this very unfair. Our Trolleys do represent excellent value for money. If you would like to call me I may be able to achieve a discount for you on a new Trolley as a goodwill gesture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I later replaced the old Trolley with a discounted Motocaddy S1. I can't say how serviceable the new trolly will be, but I do know that using it is like driving a BMW compared to the ProRider. You can make your mind up as to whether or not the Pro Rider is value for money. I'm still not sure whether I was expecting too much.

I am a customer & I agree 100% with what is said here I am afraid it was false economy on my part which led me to replace my 8 year old Hill Billy with the Pro Rider. Having previously already replaced the control switch I am now in the process of fitting new clutches to the wheels but have just noticed one wheel keeps falling off so looks like I would need to replace that wheel. Don't think I will I will just by a new trolley (not from Pro Rider), bottom line you get what you pay for which in this instance wasn't much.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify we offer a collection and repair for all products within their warranty period. With your particular case our records show you requested the part to be sent in the post rather than be without your trolley whilst we collected it. We offer all customers a collection and repair or if they prefer (and it is a simple part to fit) the option to receive the part free in the post.
We are very sorry if there has been a misunderstanding here.
