Living in the country, we have little choice over who supplies our heating oil. Billericay Farm Services in Essex know this and always keep prices way above the national average. Luckily for me, where I live, an oil buyers group has started and we can get better prices from other supplies. BFS have yet to cotton on to this fact and continue to keep the prices artifically high.

In addition to being rather expensive, the last time they came, they broke the filler cap ring on my tank and had the cheek to blame me because we had fitted a padlock to the 'viewing' cap. The guys are not supposed to fill up my tank using the inspection hole and the padlock is there to prevent them from doing so and thus breaking the electronic gage that sits next to it. They're supposed to use the filler hole on the left...which they broke. When I complained to BFS, they never responded...which does not surprise me, as they clearly think they are too big to care and thus fail.

Bring on the Buying Group is what I say!
