“Exploding glass oven door”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 31/08/2011

I have experienced the Canon Westminister Eploding glass door sindrom. I als experienced the same loud cracking noise when the oven is cooling down. On Sunday August August My wife had cooked dinner in the oven and 6 hours after she had turned the oven off there was a loud noise in the kitchen. rushing in we found that the noise we heared was the glass oven door exploding, showering the kitchen floor, work tops and hallway with broken glass. Trying to get the aftersales service was a nitemare an automated service that just keept on repeating itself no matter what option you chose. After 9 times I GAVE UP was this what I was supposed to do???????? Thank God there was no one in the kitchen at the time the glass door exploded.

Last night the door shattered on my Cannon Westminster and not for the first time - the original door shattered in 2011 and I resented paying for a replacement. So this time I'm going for another make. I've always disliked this cooker - as well as the cracking noises already referred to, the outside gets dangerously hot. An altogether rubbish purchase.
