The first thing i did just before paying for my premed projects trip to india for my half term was check this site for a review. There where only 4 but all gave giving 4 stars or more. I was still sceptical because of the vague detail though. My group members also went through a similar dilema.

It was spectacular. after meeting the other students at the airport we where all taken to a halfway house and then on to the service lodge where we would be staying for the next 6 days. it was way up in the mountains so the day where pretty warm and the night astonishingly cold( but they had really thick blankets so all was well). During about school hours (9am-3pm) we went to a large local hospital, wherein we shadowed the doctors and watched them diagnos and treat their patients. The most common ailments where kidney stones, diabetes and inflamed bladders so we saw a lot of ultra sounds and the uses of endoscopes. All the doctors and are care takers spoke english. there are recommended jabs that i suggest you take such as hepatitus. (i did not take any due to unforseen circumstances but did not get sick at all (i used hand sanitizer a lot)) malaria medication is not required for palumpur. during the evening we went shopping when we felt like it or played badminton or cards. the food ranged from plain to delecious. but it was always nice.

My group had around 8 people in it so it was great and we got along suprisingly well. by the end we where all pretty close. this trip is definetly a must. The sights you will see the people you will meet and the pictures you will take will be legendary. (i suggest you bring a nice camera not a nokia lumia 1300) all the food was either vegetarian or vegan which made it easy for some of us to eat.

I have a lot more good things to say about this trip but i've run out of time and i didn't want to forget to right this later. sorry for the spelling mistakes.

the trip i went on was india to palumpur during half term 2016
