Disgracefully unreliable product from huge manufacturer

Bought to fit within 160cms height x 60cms width. Seemed reasonable at first, but nearly every summer for the past 3 years of its short life has been a nightmare. First the fridge couldn't maintain 4 degrees Centigrade in 25 degree ambient. Looked for manufacturer's agent...no help at all and far away. Anyway, they'd suffered a fire that year. Decided to try an independent, who interposed some kind of insulator between thermostat and fridge wall. This appeared to work but...next year, same problem. Repeat performance with Liebherr's 'agent' who was utterly hopeless and wanted to charge a fortune anyway, before even visiting,for an already expensive item.

Repeat performance from same independent repairer, being the only one within 50 miles who'd even heard of Liebherr. By this time I'd spent over £500 on a really averagely-performing, smallish fridge-freezer.
This year, the motor has stopped completely. It's now going where it belongs, to the dump.

Liebherr is one of the biggest makers of fridges and freezers, amongst other goods, in the world. One would think they could get a simple domestic product right, even if it's not the cheapest, but NO.
