Moneymaxim went to no end of trouble to clarify details of a car hire insurance policy that would provide a cheaper alternative to the car rental companies excess refund and CDW policy that would cover ferry crossings - this is more complicated than you might think and easy to buy an unsuitable policy.

Moneymaxim seemed to have more knowledge of the insurer's policies than some of the insurer's call centre staff (unfair to name the insurer as their policy does represent good value.)

Definitely use MM again for other insurance quotes.

We actually love the unusual so your request was intriguing but ultimately successful.

We have actually built a reputation in the out of the ordinary - from car insurance for long trips to Europe, travel insurance covering volcanic ash eruptions and car hire excess involving trips through game parks in South Africa or for vehicles transporting hot air balloons during a race across Texas!
