Superb Service

Contacted these guys as a last resort in trying to resolve my rent arrears issue and an impending eviction. Of cause, this was after exhausting every opportunity I had to do and spectacularly failing to reach an amicable agreement with my landlord. My contact L, was helpful from the initial call I made. He explained to me what was going on, where in the eviction process we were and urged me not to panic. When I received the eviction notice, I contacted them again. They asked me to provide some documents and they immediately got to work.

They then tried to speak to my landlord who was already demanding a £1000 payment upfront at this time before they could begin negotiating with me about the arrears in vein. Much to my amazement, they were simultaneously working on the side compiling the necessary paperwork to apply to court for an emergency hearing before a judge. The day before the hearing, they asked me to take the paperwork to court and pay for the court fee. The guy at the reception was less than helpful in the sense that my eviction was to be on Monday, and it was Tuesday 5 days before my eviction. He (receptionist) was adamant that I could only see the judge only if my eviction was to be within 24hrs.

I spoke to L on the phone who insisted this was not the normal procedure. He gave me advice to return to the reception and be stern with the receptionist as my home was at stake. He even insisted I should ask for the court manager if necessary. To be totally frank, without this advise, I would have personally left it for another day.

Following this advice, I went back to the desk where (emboldened) I was assertive and vigorous. After suggesting the need to see the court manager the tone quickly changed. He was compliant and seconds later, a lady appeared to pick up my application. Another lady also showed up to serve me, it later came to my attention that this second lady was a contact of L.

On the day of the court hearing, I showed up at the court at the time agreed and I met my solicitor. Very smart and knowledgeable guy. He sat with me in a private room and we discussed my case. He also hinted to me that he had managed to convince my landlord’s lawyers to accept my offer as such, the court event was now going to be a rubber-stamping process.

To recap, I was under immense stress when I first contacted L but was able to feel an immediate relief. He spoke to me assured they would do everything they can to ensure for a good outcome, and they did. He also told me to go on with my normal day to day life and to contact them again once I have received my eviction date. When I did, they compiled all the necessary paperwork while I was going on with my daily work. The only things I had to do was fill in their form online, email to them everything they asked for, submit the application to court and show up to the hearing in my best suit. We were in and out of the court room in 5-10minutes. Even the I didn’t even say a word apart from confirming my name. The Solicitor did all the talking.

I felt no pressure whatsoever and even on the date of the hearing, to make things better for me, all the work had been done by the time I arrived at the court. I wasn’t aware but my solicitor was negotiating hard behind closed doors on my behalf. As such I strongly recommend these guys to anyone in similar circumstances. Special thanks to L, my contact. He was readily available to speak at anytime. He was equally responsive to my emails and telephone calls. So you also can be sure, you will not be alone in this fight. These guys got me out of a really sticky situation. In the end I successfully retained my home and there are no more threats coming from bailiffs or my landlord.
