I thought I was saving time using Direct Ferries rather than booking direct but it turns out I was very wrong.
They refuse to refund my money and now refuse to answer my emails.
Of course, it's owing to the Covid situation but I received a text message from Irish Ferries to say my crossing had been cancelled. Direct Ferries did not contact me and when I sent them a copy of the text with a complaint and a demand for a refund they said it was probably "just a general mail" despite it specifying the sailing and saying that I could try for the one which sailed 1 1/2 hours later.
In early May they said my case had been escalated and would be escalated again and that is the last thing I have heard from them despite a number of further emails. I don't know if I'll ever see my money again.
Do not use Direct Ferries, book direct with the ferry company.
