we booked a 1pm crossing for our driver, however when the booking came through it was for 12pm. So we had to re-arrange with our supplier, then when the driver arrived at the port he was told he could not board the ferry because the van was too long, I called the office and was told the mix-up was at they're end, however he did not make the ferry and had to wait til 1pm anyway which we were initially told was fully booked! This made him an hour late with the supplier and they was not very happy at all! Very bad service!

Very expensive compared to booking direct with Ferry Company, Over £2000.00 more!. When called and asked why over the phone they couldn't really explaine. Wont be using again just for the price. When you google freight ferries this comes up and since I never done before thought this was the main site. Cost nearly £4500 when going direct to ferry company or calling them would have cost roughly £3000.00.

Aferryfreight's Response to FirstFence1's Review

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your review, here at AFerryFreight we welcome feedback whether good or bad.
We did indeed book you on the 12noon ferry as this was the only time available. As I am sure you can appreciate availability does change constantly, we did email to advise you, giving you the opportunity to make changes if this was not convenient.
With regards to the misdeclaration of the length of vehicle and the resultant delay you experienced at the port, this was not down to ourselves as you booked the vehicle yourself online and entered the length. When the vehicle was measured at port it was found to be 7m and not 6m as you had declared, therefore as you had not paid the correct fare for your vehicle you travel was delayed.
I hope this helps to explain the reason for the delay at port, we do understand that for our customers “time is money”. Whilst we are sorry about the inconvenience caused, in this instance this was out of our control.
Kind Regards
