Pylewell Food And Drink Festival 2011
My husband and my 10month old baby visited this festival in the New Forest, we had bought VIP tickets. There was absolutely no advantage to been a VIP infact there was a disadvantage as we had to wait longer than anyone else whilst the staff tried to figure out what wrist bands to provide us.
We were one of the first people to arrive on Sat morning and were the first in the queue to enter. We waited until 10.50am to be given our wrist bands. A queue started forming behind us whilst the staff were trying to figure out how to sell tickets and what to do with people who had prepaid. Day visitors were finally sold tickets and entered at 10.30am, whilst visitors with prepaid tickets had to wait. Many prepaid visitors were getting very impatient and angry at the disorganisation.
As a VIP guest we were promised that there would be VIP parking and that we would not have to queue. Neither existed, there was absolutely no difference between a vip ticket and normal day entrance ticket.
The event did not follow the show programme and in fact many acts did not turn up. The music in the evening went on to 3am on Sunday morning and it was extremely loud and certainly not suitable for "family camping".
There were not many stalls and certainly not enough to keep us for two days. I have written to the show organisers to complain directly and have advised I will not be visiting again next year and will certainly not be recommending the event in the future.
Over all very disappointed, especially since we were really looking forward to it.
