Hi after purchasing a Gastro pub dining experience for two
We took the family to the General Havlock at Hayden bridge
We were pleasantly surprised to have a view that overlooks the river Tyne amazing views & we had two course with wine including steak as a main the food was delicious the grandparents had the pies
Fantastic pub grub.
We had crayfish starter locally sourced and & cheese & crackers to finish.
The grandparents only dissatisfaction was it smelt abit like wet dog.
The food certainly made up for the fixtures & fittings
The service was excellent & it felt really reassuring with the safe track & trace & good standard of COVID safety measures that was in place
I would recommend the General havlock if you wanted to try a traditional pub meal.
Haydonbridge is a lovely village in the heart of Northumberland.
