Do you think it is fair to tell a tenant that they can stay in a property for 6 months in an e-mail and then two days later tell them that they will be evicted 3 months early?

A contract is a legal binding written and agreed by both parties prior to any tenancy aggrement. It's unjustified and unfair without any consideration to the other party unless a compensation or refunded on fees paid and to review why the contract is terminated . An option of relocating or another option of tenancy should be offered.
