Heart, Jupiter's Darling

Heart, Jupiter's Darling - Ann and Nancy know how to rock. The selections on this CD will blend well with their other hits. I was glad to see the CD was #3 on Billboard independent CD list. Good job!!

Heart, Jupiter's Darling - BIG disappointment! I have been a huge HEART fan for 20 years, seen them in concert about 6 times (they are awesome in concert, by the way), but this newest attempt from them is awful. Enough of the acoustic "Road Home" style already (whatever made them think that "Alone" would work slowed down to a crawl and with just acoustic guitars??) It is sad that these girls are really talented songwriters, that Ann has one of the best vocals you will ever find, that Nancy plays the hell out of a guitar, and THIS is the best they can come up with??? I wish I could return my CD to the store. I guess I liked the HEART of the 80s - "Never," "Alone," "All I Wanna Do," etc. It sounds to me like they are trying to make a return to their hard rock roots of the 70s, but sadly, NONE of these songs is nearly as good as anything on "Magazine" or "Little Queen." Big disappointment for me. I won't be seeing them when they play Atlanta in August (where I live) because I'm sure most of the concert will be "Jupiter's Darling."

Incredibale acoustic guitar work, with just enough hard rock electric riffs have something for everyone. Solid vocals and of course the sister's tight harmonies combine with some great musical arrangements make this a true return the Heart sound that made this band a mainstay in the 70s and 80s.

The real twist here is the currency of the mode and lyrics that are definately a "today" sound.

A must have for both the old and new fans a like.
