Hall & Oates, Abandoned Luncheonette - There Is No

Hall & Oates, Abandoned Luncheonette - There is no bad track on the album although 'She's Gone' is their best known single of all time. In my opinion the tracks are arranged perfectly, so no need to remix order of play. It opens with a gentle harmony (at which they excel) in 'When The Morning Comes' and builds pace and crescendo through the next few tracks culminating in 'I'm Just A Kid Don't Make Me Feel Like A Man' which will have you crying out that demand with them (and I'm a woman!). The title track follows and the narrative lyrics make you believe that you are sitting in that Abandoned Luncheonette yourself! It was this song which I first heard on Radio Caroline in the 70's and had me rushing out to buy the album. I defy anyone not to be hooked and for the music and the lyrics not to enter your psyche!
