Stillmatic Is Nuthin Sgort Of Spectacular, On Ever
Stillmatic is nuthin sgort of spectacular, on everysong Nas spits it to the top lyrically, and the beats on most of the tracks are amazing. The thing that i can't imagine is that it is said that illmatic, Nas' 1st album is one of the greatest rap albums of alltime and that Stillmatic isnt even close to illmatic, this i cant beleive for is this is so, illmatic has to be out of this world for stillmatic surely is.

Stillmatic Is A Comeback Album. Nothing Here That
Stillmatic is a comeback album. Nothing here that spectacular. Productions are average and inconsistant, Nas hasn't yet lost his unmatched rhyming and stotytelling ability is nothing short of great but this album is a wasted effort with no real direction and time spent on it.
Nas-Stillmatic.
I consider Stillmatic to be one of the best and most complete hip hop albums to be released in several years.
The first song to hit your eardrums (except for the intro) is Either, is a very powerful track where Nas sets up the beef between him and Jigga for good.
This one is followed by "Hope you got yourself a gun" This is one of the best bangers in a long time, with all included.
The first half of the album has a clear "come -back" feeling. (With tracks like ยด"Destroy and rebuild", and those mentioned above)
Later on the record takes on a more riotous tone.
One mic is quite experemental and I really like the idea behind the whole song, I can't see in anyway how it could bee overated.
When Premier and Nas collaborates it always comes out good. And on Stillmatic it is no different. "2:nd Childhood" gives u a slight happy relaxing vibe, while "rewind" is a story getting told backwards.
I have no bad comments to this record. In fact I think it is complete. Every track sweeps you with a feeling, and beleive me, This is not a record wich you play for two weeks and later find out.
Stillmatic has to me allready become a classic and is one of those albums you always can put on and listen to, in anyime, in any place.

Nas, The True King Is Back. F*** I Am, It Was Wri
Nas, the true king is back. F*** I Am, It Was Written, well maybe not Nastradomus, skip all those. Illmatic to Stillmatic, Nas is the true king of New York.
If you still haven't heard, Jay-Z's freestyle on last summer's Summer Jam concert, ignited the greatest rap battle since Pac and Biggie. Jay-Z released "Takeover", Nas retaliated with "Ether" a hardcore bust over a simple-street inspired beat. Nas busts on the rhyme sprayer:"Yous a fake, a phony, a Stan, I still whip ya ass you 36 in a karate class, you Taebo hoe." You can decide who wins this beef but Nas certainly has props in his corner.
"Got Urself A Gun" is funky piano-key beat, that flips street knowledge with blunt in hand. "Smokin" and "Ur The Man" are sweet story raps with Nas opening up and distributing some of the albums illest lyrics. "Rewind" is one of Nas' best songs all time, he spits a story in reverse as easy as a DVD played backwards.
"One Mic" is the hardest song on the album, easily ready to receive pop acceptance. "2nd Childhood" is the story telling track on the album, a nice backdrop to twist a Philly to. "Destroy and Rebuild" heads off the really nice tracks on the album with a nasty little beat and firey lyrics. The rest of the songs are average in comparison to the first half.
"What Goes Around Comes Around" is by far Nas' best song lyrically on this album, or his best since "The World Is Yours", if you don't think so believe me listen to it and decide for yourself.
Overall a tight album, Nas has returned to his throne. A few low points until the last track, but still nice songs. The king is back, Nas, just do what you do!
Nas is the man. Stillmatic is a phat album, but I still got more love for Illmatic

Nas Stands Alone In The Rap Category. People Who
Nas stands alone in the rap category. People who don't understand the rap world, think that it's all about the bling bling and all those flamboyant lyrics. Nas truly represents himself and his culture through his words with such intensity. This being said he truly defines the word-lyricist. Nas certainly deserves props for what he does with that " one mic."
