I Really Enjoyed Raise Your Voice. Hillary Duff Ta
I really enjoyed Raise Your Voice. Hillary Duff takes a slight (only slight!) step away from her usual roles of being a stock predictable actress to get more into grips with this character.
Raise Your Voice is a coming of age story based on a well-talented, small-town singer (Duff) who wishes to go to a performing arts school in LA for the summer. However, broken-hearted by the sudden death of her brother in a tragic car accident, she decides that it isn't for her as she is needed at home by her loving mother and over-protective father. However, she is granted a place at the performing arts academy, due to her brother who submitted her in secret.
She decides to go and experiences a whole new way of life and dealing with her loss in the big city away from everyone and thing she knows and loves.
The film is based around how she succeeds with the big personalities at the Perfomance School and how it helps her to grow.
Raise your voice, all in all, is an enjoyable film, with a pleasant soundtrack, with some heart wrenching moments and some more cheesy moments thrown in. An easy enjoyable watch.
