Deathwatch - Synopsis: At The Height Of The T

Deathwatch - Synopsis:

At the height of the terror of WW1, the few survivors of an English regiment, trapped behind enemy lines, take refuge in a deserted German trench, waiting to be rescued. But when no help arrives, one by one they begin to suffer mysterious and gruesome fates. Slowly, a terror beyond all human understanding is unleashed.

For a film starring Jamie Bell, it's a pleasure not to see a pair of ballet shoes in sight. Instead we see a well -ilmed, atmospheric wartime horror which sends a chill down your spine. Admitedly the trailer for the film looked a lot like something Clive Barker may have directed, but this film does fall slightly short of such a masterpiece in horror. All the ingredients are there, it just needed that little extra push of creative flair to really bring out the terror that was waiting in the storyline.

The DVD is packed with special features such as:

- Audio commentry from Jamie Bell, Laurence Fox, Michael J. Bassett

- Audio commentry from Andy Serkis

- Audio commentry from Director Michael J. Bassett

- Featurette

- Deleted/Alternate scenes

- Original theatrical trailer

- Behind the scenes footage

- Interviews with cast & crew

The DVD came out on Region 2 PAL and runs for 91 mins in total.

A film worth seeing and you can usually pick it up for a cheap price off the internet or in a retailer's sale. Enjoy!
