I Took My Family Of 10 To Lunch Today. When I Book
I took my family of 10 to lunch today. When I book I was asked to pay a £5 deposit per person. The choice of times was 12.30 or 3.30pm as they only have 2 sittings. Upon arrival we weren't greeted by anyone. 2 of the party had already arrived & were seated. 10 minutes went passed & we weren't offered drinks. We had to asked. The rest of the party arrived one with a baby for which they were offered no assistance even though I had booked a high chair. Again we had to ask for drinks. Our starters were passable. When our main course arrived my son has a many legged bug in his. He didn't make a fuss but asked the waitress to change it. At this time there was no apology made. The manager didn't come over & apologise either. When the bill came my son went to the bar to speak to the manager about a deduction for his food. The managers attitude was that these things happen & 1 meal out of many wasn't bad. After 25 minutes he argreed to deduct £20 from the bill.At no time was there an apology offered. When I got home I realised that they hadn't deducted the deposit money from the bill that I had paid when I had booked.I called them & was told someone would call me back. I had to ask them to take my number, no apology. Sometime later a girl called she didn't introdocue herself just asked for my card number. After establishing who she was the refund was done but again no apology. This expierence gave us ordinary food, dreadfull service & a manager who clearly didn't care he was serving bugs with his beef. I wouldn't advise anyone to go to The Three Lakes if they want a good dining experience.
