"lost: Via Domus" Was A Very Short Game, But I Tho
"Lost: Via Domus" was a very short game, but I thought it was quite well made and kept my interest! It had a lot of bad reviews before I bought it, but I figured for £9.00 it was worth seeing for myself.
I agree that its really not a game for any hardcore gamers out there, the plot is somewhat random and the developers have really gone for the 'game inside a movie' feel. So there are lots of movie clips and reels that go on for a very long time. But this was a perfect game for a lazy sunday afternoon, I played it for about 3-4 hours straight and then again a couple more hours one evening and it was finished.
You play as a journalist who has amnesia , Elliott Maslow. So nothing to do with the actual series of Lost. And basically you go around the island looking for clues as to who you really are and why you were on the plane.
The ending seemed very rushed, the story was going well, making sense, then its like they just ran out of time, so chucked together some random bits at the end and 'taa daa' everyone was saved and all happy. Very strange.
Graphics were amazingly good actually, I was very impressed for such a small unknown game the characters were the same as those off lost, however a few of the voices weren't the same.
I would not recommend this to anyone who just likes to 'get on' with games. It is so slow-paced and methodical that you need a lot of patience to play it, but if you are in a relaxed, lazy mood one day then I would definetely recommend giving it a go!!
