Completely Unique, And A Thoroughly Enjoyable Expe

Completely unique, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience at that. Rapture is an amazingly decorated and beautifully displayed city, with twists and turns around every corner - I didn't find myself wanting to put the controller down for a long time!

The Plasmids and Gene tonics are a bunch of fun, whether you're firing bee's from your veins, or ice from your fingertips. It's also great that this visually looks stunning, and I struggled to find any part of the game which lacked texture - each room looked amazing, and it really put you in the game. Storytelling isn't an easy job; it can take a long time to think of a decent story but 2k games hit the nail on the head. In the first 15 minutes of play, you immediately feel sorry for our poor adventurer who must wander into the depths of the sea and find out "What's really going on".

An amazing game, which is a must play for any shooter fans. But beware - this is a definite 1st person shooter; with a twist!

Yeah, I totally agree with your review - Bioshock is a brilliantly atmospheric game. The Art Deco styling is simply amazing and learning to use the Plasmids effectivley is very intuitive. Spot on review.

Bioshock Is One Of The First Games I Have Bought F

BioShock is one of the first games I have bought for my 360, just makes me wonder how much better the system will get in the future - can't wait. Hope there will be a sequel with some fine tuning made. It has good graphics. Something different to the usual FPS on the market. Kept me coming back for more.

Bioshock Turned Out To Be A £40 Frisbie. Whe

BioShock turned out to be a £40 frisbie. When first started tp play it thought it could be cool, but after a few hours I thought, why am I doing this, it's so repetative, get's very annoying, for example, the hacking you have to do in the game ALL the time is like one of those mini games you download from Oberon and the like, and wished you hadn't. I feel the same about the whole game actually, I wished I hadn't bought it.

Bioshock This Is The Only Game That Is Completely

BioShock this is the only game that is completely different from all the other fighting/platform game that I have played it is very futuristic and a lot of hidden departments instead of the game being finished in 2 days, it took between 4/5 days to finish this game because of it's complicity i would recommend this game to any one looking to choose a game if they were unable to decide which games to choose or had less knowledge about gaming. The only bad points that i could give would have to be the complicity of the game you really need to use you mind and have a good understanding of the game but all the explanations that are needed are in the book that comes with the game but still rate it 8/10 which is on the excellent side of things. Get the game and really understand what I mean by it's complexity and futuristics give it a try you've nothing to loose and some great pleasure to gain.

Well This Game Has Kept Me Coming Back For More An

Well this game has kept me coming back for more and more, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A quick run through of the general game: you start by crash landing from your flight into 'Rapture' an underwater city made for 'the best examples of mankind' in the 1940's, so you can imagine that most of the scenery is Art Deco and also the foes are from the same period (and being 14 fathoms under the sea and in a state of collapse of course this city is leaking!), which all leads to some superb atmosphere & graphics, you get enlisted to help a trapped man find his family, to do this you have to fight the remains of the inhabitants of the city and find out what has happened down here.

There are loads of foes to fight and they're quick! Before you know it they've run over and trying there hardest to bash your brains in! That is, of course, unless they're armed. There's mini games where you have to hack turrets/security cameras/vending machines and safes, get these wrong and all hell can break loose, to get loot and ammo you have to rummage for it in beaten foes.

Your hero gets to upgrade himself by getting points from young girls known as the 'Little Sisters' (I won't spoil it by telling you how, but it does take some sole searching as to how you do it!) and finding a suitable machine to upgrade from, so you can then equip yourself with a variety of weapons & powers to be a force to be reckoned with, only problem with getting to the 'Little Sisters' is that they're protected by 'Big Daddies' which are BIG lumbering what looks like underwater divers, lumbering that is till you upset them! And that is what you must do to get to the upgrade points.

Off to finish it now and then try and do it all over again on the hard setting!

I can't recommend this game enough, in some ways Bioshock reminded me of 'System Shock 2' I'm sorry if you disagree but if you like FPS with a bit of thought and RPG thrown in for good measure I'm sure you'll like it.
