I Purchased "army Of Two The 40th Day" With The In

I purchased "Army of Two the 40th Day" with the intention that me and my partner would play this together in the evenings, being hardcore Modern Warfare gamers, I thought he'd love this. But unfortunately he really could not get on with playing in third person.

So I went about this game alone, and I have to say it was much easier controlling the second person than any other game I have played (i.e GRAW) not only that but he did as he was told, so the game went a lot faster and easier! I am very impressed with the overall length of the game, after having just played 'LOST' which last all of about 35 minutes, this game took me just over 11 hours to complete. And not only that, the decisions you make in the game may turn the story a different way, so I am eager to now go back through and try out some different options.

A few bad points though - the graphics are appalling, I'm not sure whether Call of Duty has some kind of top developers, but there was really no effort put into this game at all, all the characters look cartoony and the explosions just look very basic with no depth.

Boss characters - there are only 4 of them, and they use them CONSTANTLY throughout the game, and when they think they've used them enough, they just send them all in at once. Lack of imagination a bit here, they were interesting at first but I quickly became bored of them.

Another good point was the weapon customisation, a little tricky to get the hang of at first, and if you're playing two player its very irritating that you have to wait for your partner to confirm before you can customise your weapon. But single player its quite simple to go in, select new weapons, customise them and then off you go. one downside however is if you buy a new weapon at the beginning of a chapter, buy loads of stuff for it, completely customise it, and then die... well you go back to the beginning with no weapon and have to set it all up again!!

This game is very addictive, I would play for 3-4 hours at a time on the weekends, and could have played a lot longer if my partner wasn't sat there pointing at his watch asking when dinner was going to be made :) but when friends came over and we did play 2 player in the evenings, this was also great fun, you could carry on playing from where you left off or start a new game. Being able to smack your team mate randomly and shout abuse (or compliments) at them every now and again, doesn't get boring!

Overall, I would recommend this game, I am really looking forward to the next edition coming out, I may even go back and buy the original Army of Two.
