Red Faction Ii Is A Great Multiplayer Game, And Be
Red Faction ii is a great multiplayer game, and besides one other aspect that is about the only good thing I can say about this game. The Single Player Campaign is not a very good story line and the graphics in this game are more cartoonish than realistic (kind of like gamcube games). The game gets boring after a very little bit of game play, and some of the levels are stretched out to long (just doing the same thing for too long). Like in one level you are in a submarine driving through the canyons in the ocean to get to a place, but the world takes like 30 minutes to complete. You just drive and shoot down enemy submarines and then drive some more and shoot some more down for what seems like forever. There are a few worlds like that in other vehicles too. And finally, the final boss in the game is almost impossible to beat. I am a pretty good gamer and I couldn't even beat it without cheats (just between me and you), and even the walkthrough for the game, it says that the final boss is almost impossible, and it takes way too long to beat him. Most of the game is challenging but not too hard to complete until they got to the end, then they threw in the final boss and made it too hard. I mean it really sucked to play the whole game and get to the end and have to use cheats to complete it.
On the other hand, the game has really good multiplayer(up too 4 human players off-line), with tons of levels and many different game types(capture the flag, death match, team death match, free for all, bagman, arena, team arena, and one secret game type you unlock when you beat the game). You can also create computer players and play with or against them. The more you play them in games the higher their stats gets, and you can also select their characteristics. The one other thing that was good in the game is the explosive environment. You can destroy pretty much anything in the level, if you shoot a wall with a Nano GF Launcher it wall blow really big holes in the wall. You can keep shooting a wall until all that's left is the few columns, so you can really interact with your environment. And last of the entire Single Player Campaign does offer one good thing; it offers many different types of vehicles that you can drive (submarines, tanks, big robots, and more). So overall this is a decent game that does have some cool aspects, and will give you allot of game play time to complete it. So if you are looking for a good multiplayer game or just another game to add to your collection then I would recommend it.
