Patrick Moore & David A. Hardy, Futures: 50 Years
Patrick Moore & David A. Hardy, Futures: 50 Years In Space - In Sir Patrick Moore's usual anecdotal and humorous style, he addresses the possibility of manned future exploration of planets and moons throughout the universe. Written as an update to an earlier book written and illustrated by the two authors called The Challenge Of The Stars (1972), this book has been updated to include all the latest technologies developed since that time.
Patrick uses his vision of what man will find on the various places described in the text of the book. All the planets and their moons of our solar system are described using the very latest data from robotic space probes. Each place is breathtakingly illustated by David Hardy. The authors then turn their attention to further afield, to the Milky Way and beyond.
The book is a must for all astronomers and dreamers alike and will excite and stimulate the imagination of readers of all ages. This is a large book that will keep you entertained from the front to the back cover.
