Since he is losing at poker, Wiley does not mind leaving the game to help a friend in trouble. Apparently, Miriam works for a nasty primp Dookie, who enjoys pounding his employees almost as much as he relishes killing people for the fun of it. Making matters more difficult is that Dookie believes he is superman and nothing can hurt him.
Wiley recruits his pal "bad bad" Leon to join him on his quest to free Miriam from butt-kicker Dookie. Though they travel the west coast stopping in L.A. and Vegas during their trek, the final confrontation between the good bad guy and the superbad dude ends back in Portland, Oregon. Dookie looks forward to killing Wiley and Leon after he beats them up, but these are two tough studs ready to dispense their own brand of justice.
No one will lament with tales starring Wiley, a likable anti-hero. His current venture away from the card table is an engaging wild ride that leads to a final High Noon showdown in the mean streets of Portland. The villain is so nasty; he will have his own Dooksters rooting for him. Fans of outrageous farces that seem to go over the edge, but never freefalls will appreciate Wiley's Shuffle across the West Coast as much as the card table.
