An iPod was purchased which did not say it was recycled, without normal packaging and with no guarantee so it was sent back to the address they gave me. I was told this had to be done quickly or it would be too late. Ebay Resolution Centre then contacted me with an address to send it back but it had already been sent. The seller maintains that he has not received it. It was sent as a First Class signed for item. The case is now closed and I am out of pocket by £165 and do not even have the second-hand iPod. The company is a not straight and should tell people the items are not new. More importantly they should not be stealing money off people.

Absolutely terrible!! My FULLY working phone, was valued at £40. I waited more than 4 weeks for payment...only to receive a cheque for £10!!! Due to 'a small scratch on the back cover' really?! What Gadget Recycling company, can not overcome a small scratch...to the back of a fully working mobile phone?! After requesting that my phone was returned to me, I was told 'this item has already been recycled. Sorru'. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!!!

I sent to i-phones: One wasn't working and I said this when I acquired the quote. When I sent it in, they said it wasn't working and didn't pay anything. The other was a 4S in good condition, having been kept in a case. They offered me £25 less than their original quote, saying that there was some damage. I needed the money and accepted the quote. Then they said that they had a problem with Pay Pal and would I either accept a cheque or provide them with bank details (NO CHANCE ON THE LATTER!)I eventually received a cheque two and a half weeks after their receipt of the phone. So by the time the cheque had cleared it was over 3 weeks. I was extremely thankful that the cheque cleared! Looking at the other reviews, I suspect that this company will not stay in business for long.

Offered £82 for a 3 year old iPhone 4. But after "inspection" only gave £67.20. They found scratches which I don't believe we're there. And considering it's a 3 year old phone it is bound to have some

Quoted £210 for two iPhone 4's and when they received it - we were offered £60 for both due to 'damage' - which is rubbish! NOW they will not return them to me as I did not respond within the 3 days (away on holiday for the weekend). What a rip off - stay away from this awful company.

Posted iPhone 5 off to them over 2 weeks ago. No email confirmation that its arrived (although it was signed for 3 days after it was posted to them). Have emailed them, tried their live chat help but no one available and when tried to call machine tells me their opening times and adds that if I'm calling with in these times then there is no one free to take my call and I should try to email them!!!!! They have my phone....at a loss where to go from here. I have used this process before but other companies. I chose this one as they offered the most cash for my phone. Better to stick with better known companies and accept less cash in future I guess.

Sent them an Iphone 4s, they'd valued it at £150. Once they had received it, they revalued it at £120 due to "some noticeable wear and tear. Scratches on front/back". Yeah, right. A phone that's always had a screen protector and case. It had no marks on it when it left here. Rather than allow them to make even 1p from my phone I paid to get it back. I'll put it on ebay and at least I can govern the price up to a point. The problem is - I need the phone sent back!!! Almost 2 weeks and no sign of it yet. Dunno who previous reviewers were going to "complain" to? Me, I'll use the courts if I need to. Keeping someone else's property against their will is called theft.

GadgetTrader - Please do not be so unfortunate as to use this website. Company promised my £231 for my iPhone 5. I used a recycle your phone compare site and these were offering the most. Unfortunately this is probably how they have reeled people in in the past. The phone had been used for a total of 1 day and had absolutely no marks on it whatsoever. The website states that payment is within 24 hours of receiving your phone and that you are kept up to date via email throughout the entire process. No one emailed me throughout the process and i had to call them several times for a day before anyone even picked up the phone. Nobody replies to emails at all either. Initially they claimed they didn't even have the phone until i proved Royal Mail had delivered it. After a week i got an email saying unfortunately we can only offer £150 (more than £80 less than i was promised) due to general wear and tear. This claim was laughable as the phone had been used for one day. Stay away from these guys.

Sold my old laptop which i no longer needed. Was impressed with the box i received to send it back and was assured all data would be destroyed. Payment was a little longer than expected. Still, thats Royal Mail for you!

I am furious as I have had an awful experience with gadgets4everyone. I was turning in my old iPhone 4 which they valued at £100. I have had experience with similar companies so I knew that the value they would suggest on receiving the phone would be lower but I didn't not expect the following: I received an email saying my phone was worth £0 (this is a year old phone in a very good state), i then of course opted to have it returned to me and duly paid the £5 postaged they asked for. I then three or four days later received the following email 'The records of this phone/device have been checked on the CheckMEND database (www.checkmend.com) of lost and stolen property records as part of our legal obligation to perform due diligence on all property that we handle. We are required by law to quarantine the above phone/device for 28 days. If the loss/stolen records on this phone/device are not cleared before (28 days), we will be required by law to take the item of property and dispose of it accordingly.' My phone was bought at the carphone warehouse and in my possesion the whole year that I had it. THis is a complete joke, instead of £100 I have lost a phone and am £5. take my advice and do not use.

Delay after delay on top of receiving reduced price for an iPad in prefect condition. REF 83298 When I looked at trading in my iPad I wondered why Gadgets4everyone were offering quite a bit more than anyone else. Now I realise they are doing so to get their hands on your goods so they can discount the price and worse still you then have to chase them to get paid. I was originally offered £228 for my iPad but after a long time holding it they told me I'd only get £182 for it. I guess they just pay what the market rate but once they have your goods that you have paid to post its unlikely that you will want them sending back. My main compliant is then about the speed to process my payment. I was told my payment had been processed to the "queue" where it waited for a week!. Then after having first been told it would clear in 3 days they told me it would take 5 days. End to end the process took 3 weeks form them receiving my iPad to me getting paid. If I hadn't chased them 3 times I'm sure I would still be waiting.

Sent gadgets4everyone my iPhone 4 30th of may to start it was good and got a email saying payment date 7/6/13 but then got a message saying because of a high number of trade in payments are late then on the 12th of June I get a message to say they need my bank account details again and today the 14th June they ask for them again. If your thinking of sending them anything don't. Very very poor and I'll never use gadgets4everyone again. No stars off me.

I have sent emails and received confirmation that I am going on get £221 for my iPhone 4s within 3 working days from the 6th of June 2013 after having waited ages already due to 'technical problems' and systems running slow. I waited an persevered. It's now the 11th of June and no sign of payment . I also received an email that they have down valued my handset to 178!! This was AFTER they confirmed via mail I was going to receive £221 into my account. I have sent a few emails and left 4 messages on different dates and times to which I have had no response so far. I am giving it until tomorrow and they are being reported. How can they confirm something and then change their mind?

I am currently experiencing the same problems absolutely awful company, no correspondence, phone lines down so no customer service. getting fobbed off its the accounts department who do not speak to customers, I am currently on chat with them and I have been promised payment today we will see.
DO NOT SEND YOUR PHONE TO THIS COMPANY... THEY MAY OFFER THE BEST PRICES BUT YOU WILL GET DOWNGRADED FOR STRATCHES AND DENTS THAT WERE NOT THERE WHEN YOU SENT IT. USE MAZUMA WISH I WOULD OF STUCK WITH THEM

I was happy with the £32 quote. However, when they received my iPod touch they lowered the price by 35%, which was insane as it was in perfect condition bar a few minor scratches. When I complained they upped the offer to £25.60. I was not happy with this, but was not going to pay £5 just to get my gadget back! So grudgingly accepted. Be very careful if going through a comparison site. Will not be sending them anything else! I would advise you to avoid and use a more genuine company .

Sent my old satnav off as the site said I could get £5 for it got an email saying I will receive £0 for this and now they want me to pay them £5 for its return I am going to file a Complaint as this is just rude and wrong Saying because the couldn't test it.. takes a standars mini usb like most other satnav how ridiculous Won't be a returning client and will not be sending people you way I have noticed people have complaints about the same issue how van they get away with this time and time again

I sent 2 well wrapped packages to Gadgets4everyone one whose quotation was £57 the other £36, the larger package had the printed address label on. I obtained proof of posting which has been presented to both the company and the Post Office when it became clear that neither package had allegedly been received. I have put in a claim to the Post Office who have referred me back to Gadgets4everyone who have said they would support me with my claim but then give no indication as to how they will/can support me with my claim. I do not understand how 2 separate packages can go astray in this way and clearly obtaining proof of postage is a complete waste of time. I am totally dissatisfied with my experience and will not be using Gadgets4everyonen again.

After comparing multiple websites, Gadgets4everyone promised me the highest amount on my phone (£80) so I went with them. Once they received the phone this was then immediately dropped to £68 with no definitive reason given, just a link to their T&C's, where they reserve the right to change their minds if they feel like it. Getting it back and eBaying it would be more hassle than losing a further £12 (already spent £6 posting it to them) so I just decided to settle for that amount. They promise 2 day payment via BACS or Paypal but after a week I still hadn't had anything so logged onto their website to check. I found that the value of my phone had been changed to £0 and the transaction had been cancelled. At no point did I receive any communication from them that this was the case. (I got an email/text at every stage before this). I called them and was told that my phone had shown signs of being tampered with. I owned the phone from new and no tampering had ever taken place but they were adamant that it was now worthless. According to the T&C's if I hadn't called they would have 'disposed' of it after a certain amount of time. I asked for them to send it back and was informed that I had to give them £5 to do so which I reluctantly agreed to, and we agreed that it would be sent to my work address to save me a trip to the post office to collect it. Surprise surprise, they ignored that and sent it to my home and I missed the delivery.

After a recommendation from a friend I went to their website for an evaluation and was fairly happy with the value, slightly more than other places I looked. I sent my iPod off (freepost yay) and received an email a few days later with an estimate a bit more than then I got on the site, payment was sent straight to my bank and was recieved within a few days time. Definitely recommending them to others and will be using again if I need this service again.

This website offers a high class, speedy service for people who want to sell their used electronics items, fast! The website is very straight-forward and easy to use. You answer a few questions on the condition of your items and they offer resonable estimates based on what they feel your items are worth. Once you've recieved your quote you can send your items off freepost! I recieved an email 2 days after i'd sent my ipod out and was to suprised with the final amount they were paying me (they said it was worth more than the estimate.) The money was in my account the next day! Overall I am very happy with this service I find it to be much quicker and less hassle than eBay and I will continue to use it in the future, I have also recommended it to others.

Subsequently got the phone back after paying the return postage. Looked OK to me! Sold it on ebay for £190. That's clearly the way to do it and stop these bottom feeders from living off our money. Kelvin1950.
