I Bought This Tv On Monday After My Old One Gave U
I bought this TV on Monday after my old one gave up the ghost! I had intended getting the Toshiba 28ZD26P from an online retailer as all I was after was a 100Hz 28" set with plenty of quality inputs(and a good rep.), however I needed a tv ASAP so I went down to my local sony centre and plumped for this baby. After 4 days I'm mega chuft with it. For a start it looks fantastic, it has that coolness that only sony can provide. The picture is awesome. I'm watching Sky digital via RGB and playing PS2 via RGB - both are stunning, with the PS2 in particular breathtaking. My DVD is hooked up though S-video and again the picture is excellent, Spiderman is flawless!
On the sound side the virtual dolby and BBE are good but to be honest if you're really bothered by sound then buy a surround sound kit - they're worth the extra few hundred quid.
Overall I've been pleasantly surprised by this tv - I went for it because of the sony name and I have not been dissapointed one bit! I've also heard none of the buzzing mentioned in the other review - maybe I need a hearing aid or something??!!:-)
PS. Make sure you have an electric screwdriver for the stand - it takes 10 times longer to put up than the tv!!!

Overall, I Would Say That With The Price And The I
Overall, i would say that with the price and the immense picture and sound quality for an average user that this Sony KV-28LS60U tv presents, it is a great buy.
And if you were looking at this tv against anyhting else in the same price range don't bother.

I Bought This Sony Kv-28ls60u Television To Replac
I bought this Sony KV-28LS60U television to replace my Sony 24" widescreen (which was superb), I thought that if I stuck with Sony I could'nt go wrong....how wrong could I be?
There is a VERY loud buzzing sound that comes from the set when it is on, I have had an engineer out to take a look at it & he says that it is the "Scan coils" and there is nothing he can do about it. He said that they have had this complaint before & even replaced the coils on some sets with no effect.
The picture quality is also not great - distortion at edges of the screen & red lettering on a black background has severe bleeding (my 24" Sony was perfect).
Needless to say, I am not happy & plan to return it to the supplier & get a different brand :(
Hi
I come accross many Sony sets that work perfectly, it sounds like you have a repair agent who is poor. Get onto Sony directly.
M.Marvel
The Comet spec for this t.v. states it's NOT NTSC compliant.
I presume that Russ is right about the TV not being NTSC compatable though?
You couldn't be more wrong I have this tv and everything you have said is the complete oppositte in reality. It's just a question of knowing what to do with it. This tv is a very powerful unit and you can't just excpect to plug it in and off it goes. But when done properly for the price is one of the best image producing sets I have seen. Please do not let the earlier comment put you off.
