There Is A Theme Running Through All The Customer
There is a theme running through all the customer dissatisfaction notes. I will not be buying any more Sony products until there is an obvious change in attitude. The 'exposure to moisture' response seems to be particularly popular.

I Am Very Disappointed With Treatment By Sony In C
I am very disappointed with treatment by Sony in connection with a camera not working and returned to them. Bought by me in Australia for Christmas present (end November 2006) and reported and returned for repair early December (about 7 days out of their warranty although still covered by The Sale of Goods Act). I have not seen the camera since but am assured it has not been misused/wet but they insist that it has water damage - want to charge me £30 to return it to throw away. I have bought 7 of these (very similar models) for family and presents for friends but will not be buying any more unless someone makes an attempt to compromise on this. I am assured that it has not been wrongly exposed to moisture.

I've Owned The Sony Cybershot Dsc-p72 Digital Came
I've owned the Sony CyberShot DSC-P72 digital camera for well over a year now, and I've been nothing but happy with it.
The functions and options are easy to use in the well displayed menu options on the camera. The quality of picture is fantastic. Even the "motion picture" option gives a clear picture with good recorded sound.
I highly recommend purchasing an additional memory stick, as the camera only comes with a 16MB stick included. This is not much space at all, especially if you plan to use the "movie" function. As the camera supports Pro Memory Stick's, this allows you to purchase a stick that holds huge amounts of storage space for very little extra money. I think it's something about compressing the information, but however it works, there is no loss of quality at all. I bought a 512MB stick for the camera and never ran out of space on a two week holiday where I went photo and filming crazy.
The camera's zoom function is good, but be warned that you can not use the zoom whilst filming. No huge hassle but worth pointing out!
When the camera is fully charged the batteries seem to last for ages, but charging the cameras batteries to their limit does take a while. The charger and batteries are all included with the camera by the way! The batteries are just rechargeable AA batteries, so in the case of a camera 'emergency' you can just use standard AA batteries. This can be very handy when you're on holiday etc.
Putting the photo's on your home computer and/or printing them off couldn't be simpler! The whole process is explained simply from start to finish, and the camera comes with all the software you need for the photo's.
All in all, I thought the camera was a fantastic buy, and it does exactly what I want it to do. I'm no professional photographer, but for everyday use, the SONY DSC-P72 is a simple and easy to use camera that delivers great looking results. Highly recommended!

As A Less Experienced Photo Enthusiast, I Find Usi
As a less experienced photo enthusiast, I find using the Sony Cybershot DSC-P72 digital camera a great experience. After shooting a few photos, in the playback mode, you can have a look at the settings at which the picture was taken, and build up your own experience at selecting the settings. Of course, the automatic settings are great, but at some point in time you will have to stand on your own two feet. Shutter lag is fine, though it starts to increase with flash (and not just the shutter lags.) Consulting the manual, I found out that it was a 'Power Saving' consideration, that if enabled would make the LCD turn off while the flash is charging. Not such a bad idea, but it could waste a good photo or two. Overall, I highly rate this camera, and would recommend it to anyone who's as enthusiastic as I am. Happy shooting!

The Sony Cybershot Dsc-p72 Camera Itself Is Ok, Fa
The Sony CyberShot DSC-P72 camera itself is OK, fairly average, but after a few months the lens motor will break and Sony WILL NOT fix it. They want to charge $140 to fix something that is defective in their camera.

I Received The Sony Cybershot As A Birthday Presen
I received the Sony Cybershot as a birthday present. It is my first digital camera. All I can say is that it is brill for someone with little or no knowledge of photography. It is easy to use(after digesting the info manual) and produces excellent quality reproductions on photo card and is excelent to transfer to cd. The only drawback I have found is that for older users or users that wear glassses the on screen menus are tiny and difficult to read especially in poorly lit areas. Get round this by sorting your settings before you need to take the photos.

The Sony Dsc-p72 Is My Second Camera, I Purchased
The Sony DSC-P72 is my second camera, I purchased it off Amazon for a bargain 130 quid. The picture quality is pin sharp, I'm a keen amateur photographer and own a good 35mm SLR Camera and the photo quality is as good if not better up to A4 size this camera is quality the lens is superb this is better than a 4m pixel one I purchased and took back. It's all about a quality lens and Sony deliver this in this camera.

A Few Weeks After Purchase A Sony Digital Camera D
A few weeks after purchase a Sony digital camera DSC-P72 (from a reputable store) it stopped working. Sony service centre refused to fix it (actually it offered a repair for three times its original price!) saying the camera had water damage. They blamed me! Though I always handled it with great care. Someone at the Visa claims centre said she heard similar stories about Sony products. It's a pattern. I'd be wary about buy anything from Sony!!!
Same story. Had our Sony camera for 4 months and accidentally dropped it (in it's case) in water. Sent it to Sony for repair and was told they would not repair it. Sad to think of the per picture price of a $400 camera that only made it 4 months!
I had similar problem with my DSC-P72. After purchasing my camera from CURRYS,it lasted just SIX months. It went for repairs THREE TIMES to mastercare centre for the same fault. Now I have to pay to get it repaired, which really hurts knowing the camera is only 15 months old.
SONY- NEVER AGAIN.

This Sony Dsc-p72 Is My Second Digital Camera, My
This Sony DSC-P72 is my second digital camera, my first one being the Fuji A303. This one is far better in terms of features and battery life. The picture is excellent and it takes pics pretty fast. The video mode is brill too, with good sound and playback through the TV. Can't really fault this camera apart from its size, its fairly bulky, but it does feel solid and sturdy which i like. Overall i'm very impressed.
