Awful, Awful Awful. Although I Only Paid £

Awful, Awful Awful. Although I only paid £13.00 paid for this Babyliss Portability Ceramic Gas Straightener (they were reduced) I expected them to at least do what they said, 'straighten'.Don't get very hot at all and plates are so light that they don't 'grasp' your hair.Absolute waste of money, don't bother

Probably due to the ceramic coated plates. Those are always the cause of bad heating and rough straightening. Try the karmin g3 salon pro styling iron instead, that's what I'm using and my hair's never been better! Pure ceramic and tourmaline plates really make the difference!

I agree that these straighteners do not heat up sufficiently to make any difference even to my wavy hair. This is instantly noticeable as I also have electric straighteners. I returned mine to Argos after 2 attempts.

If You Have Fine Hair I Think Babyliss Portability

If you have fine hair I think Babyliss Portability Ceramic Gas Straightener will be fine for your hair type. However I have really thick/coarse hair that doesn't straighten easily. I found the plates aren't wide enough and I don't think get hot enough. If you have thick hair I would not recommend this because I need a straightener that reaches a higher temperature. I suggest between 210 degrees to 230 degrees.

I Paid £40 For These Because I Was Desperat

I paid £40 for these because I was desperate during a camping holiday with no electricity. I've got wavy hair and thought these would be the perfect answer. I waited at least 5 minutes for them to heat up and they didn't come close to straightening my hair! Also as other people have mentioned they ripped my hair when they reached the bottom! I was really disappointed with them and had to go back to wearing the hat! I felt as though I had wasted my money on them.

I Bought These For £19.99 At Argos And Firs

I bought these for £19.99 at Argos and firstly they don't heat up anywhere near hot enough to straighten ever so slightly wavy hair even if you leave them to heat up for 5 minutes or more and secondly they get hair trapped and it ends up being pulled out - Nice! To sum up - Complete waste of time and money and I would not buy a Babyliss product again.

For £19.99 I Think These Hair Straighteners

For £19.99 I think these hair straighteners are great. After reading other reviews I wished I hadn't got them but they proved me wrong. If you leave them to heat up for about 5 minutes before using them, they get very hot! I don't think they would be very good for straightening a whole head of very curly hair, but they worked very well for me as I used them as a 'top-up' for the front frizzy parts of my hair. I used them a fair amount over 5 days, letting them heat up for about 5 -8 minutes before each use and I still have a quarter of a canister left. The one downside as everyone else has said is they tend to catch the ends of your hair snapping them, if you let go of the hair before you get to the end this seems to work.

Overall, I would recommend these if you are going to use them as I did or if your hair isn't too curly they are fine.

I Thought These Babyliss Babyliss Portability Cera

I thought these Babyliss Babyliss Portability ceramic gas straightener would be perfect for weekends away etc. But as the other reviews state, they don't heat up enough to straigthen your hair - and my hair isn't even that wavy. They also catch on the end of your hair, pulling and snapping - which can't be good! Wouldn't recommend.

I Saw The Babyliss Portability Ceramic Gas Straigh

I saw the Babyliss Portability ceramic gas straighteners in the shop and thought they would be good. They were a bargain price and portable, but I was wrong. I tested them straight away. They take about 2 minutes to heat up properly. They rip your hair as you straighten it and in my experience the results are rubbish. They aren't hot enough to straighten your hair properly and the gas cells for them are quite expensive.
