The Asus L1400 B is a appropriate laptop for a starter laptop user, I would recommended that minimum upgrade the Ram to 256M, the CPU change to a Pentium III mobile CPU(if the shop provides this service, I did it when I bought the laptop in Hong Kong, but the shop gave me a 16M use flash disk instead of the USB floppy disk).
Remember, never just trust the salesmen when you buy the laptop, before you decide to buy it, try it by yourself.

And the Special thing is the Optical Mouse, its really a piece of mind.
