I contacted Consumer Direct about these guys. In the end I decided it was going to be easier and cheaper to replace defective hardware (as shipped) at my own cost. Make your own decision, but be warned.

Purchased A System Online From Cyberpower Via Thei

Purchased a system online from Cyberpower via their Configurator which allows the prospective buyer to select compatible components to custom build your PC.

What they fail to mention is Cyberpower sees this as an upgrade even though they build the pc in which case the three years warranty is reduced to one year on the expensive parts of the PC.

I would be reluctant to buy from them again.

I Ordered, Confirmed My Order On The Chicken Page.

I ordered, confirmed my order on the chicken page. I immediately recieved an email stating my order had been confirmed with my credit card. That evening, I received another email asking me to FAX a photocopy of my driver's license (both sides) and a photocopy of my credit card (both sides) to them. When I questioned the request, I was told it was company policy. Again, I refused to provide that info... the website was supposedly https. I asked several times to speak with a supervisor or manager and was never put in touch with anyone but the "account manager". After 24 hrs of dealing with it, I cancelled the order. I figured if they required that type of info, and never gaining direct contact with a supervisor, I didn't want the product. I'm so glad I didn't buy that computer!

I Ordered A System From Them In 2007. I Recieved I

I ordered a system from them in 2007. I recieved it and found my monitor would not recognise the OS. The system had to be returned. The fault was found to be incorrect BIOS settings. So with the BIOS set correctly they returned it to me. Upon booting up I suddenly saw VISTA appear oh great they had installed the wrong OS it should have been XP. The computer was returned again. When it finally arrived back to me all was well. But after 3 months the Graphics card became faulty and slowly got worse. I called the techs "oh you need to update the drivers they said" so I did. The card was still crashing. I told them I wanted a replacement card and not the same type. It has now been 6 months and the problem it still not resolved. Also I never received a copy of windows from them and I am still trying to get one. Not a good service so far with CyberPower.

I Have Been In The Repair Field For Years And I Ha

I have been in the repair field for years and I have a lot of bad thoughts from this company. I do a lot of repairs on there systems for people who buy them and its worse then Dell. At least dell will boot when you get after that you are on your own but the reason everyone runs into issues is this, there parts are re-manufactured, the hard drives are not new neither is there memory or main boards. In my opinion, the reason there lines are busy is because there are only a hand full of people working for them, not many.

Dont recommend CyberPower Inc.

Until Recently I Had Been A Loyal Cyberpower Custo

Until recently I had been a loyal cyberpower customer. They have great prices no doubt, but if you ever have a problem, you might as well fix it yourself. I bought a new comp in OCT 0f 2006. Right out of the box it was crashing, freezing and giving me the blue screen of death. After months of dealing with it I finally called tech support. That line is busy 90% of the time. You have to call 100 times to get through once. When I finally did get through, I did hours of troubleshooting (requires that you know how to pull the components in and out) and they said I needed a new motherboard. Their tech support is not for those with little computer knowledge. So a few weeks later I got it and the problem was even worse. So i sent the entire computer back $80 out of my pocket. After three weeks, no word so I started calling the line that is always busy again. When i would finally get through, I always got the same answer. "we don't know what is wrong with it, it will be done next week." The last time I called, I requested a refund because it had been 4 weeks and I was still without my work computer. Of course that was out of the question, so I asked the guy what he would do in my place, he said "I decline to answer." He then said, I cannot help you and hung up on me. Finally a few weeks later my computer showed up out of the blue and the bottom of the case was smashed so hard that it was crumpled up into the sound card. Needless to say, the computer still does not work. I am not having it fixed at my own expense. This was the 6th computer I had bought from them, but the first I had problems with. They have great prices, but if you have a problem, you are on your own. Beware. $2100 for a computer that doesn't work.

My Cyberpower Inc. Xtreme Gamer Platinum Pro Comp

My CyberPower Inc. Xtreme Gamer Platinum Pro computer system never worked on arrival. It kept switching itself off when accessing Media Centre, which turned out to be the internet connection. I sent it back to Cyberpower twice for repair, and each time it came back with the same problem. I was told they would build a new PC, but they didn't. After the third time I gave up all confidence in the company, and I asked for a full refund, which they haven't given, and they are making me pay for the postage (£20). The compensation they gave for all the trouble caused was a pen drive. I have returned everything, even though I didn't see why I should return the compensation, and they still refuse to refund me in full. So not only do I have NO COMPUTER, but am out of pocket too.

They even admitted the person who built and dealt with the repairs has left the company because he made a lot of mistakes, but because I gave up hope after THREE chances of repair, apparently it's my fault!?

I Bought A Fully Loaded Msi-1039 Notebook. The Fir

I bought a fully loaded MSI-1039 notebook. The first problem was the 2Gb of RAM were both DEFECTIVE. I ran memtest86, and they were both not just defective in one sector, but MANY. I wondered how that happened, so I exchanged it and it was okay.

Now, 4 months into it, the left hinge would pop a little bit every time. I tried closing the LCD screen, causing a slow but deep rack in the back of the LCD chassis. I tried CyberPower Tech Support, and they referred me to MSI, then MSI referred me back to them, so now I'm stuck in the middle of two organizations acting like 5 year olds. I even told them I'd love to PAY (even though everything's under the so-called "1 year warranty") for the part, or service, or both! But nothing...

Typically, Only The "unhappy" Customers Of Any Pro

Typically, only the "unhappy" customers of any product post reviews. I am taking the time to post as a very happy customer of Cyberpower. I researched all computers before purchasing the Cyberpower Xtreme Gamer Platinum Pro computer system. Take for example " Alienware"...I mainly used better business bureau for 90% of my decision. Alienware had HORRIBLE ratings there. Cyberpower had by far the best, even out of Dell and Gateway etc.

I will be purchasing all my computers from Cyberpower. They were great from the beginning, on all parts of business. Not one problem with the computer; it is professionally built and it runs great. A major gaming computer would have cost over $6,000 at Alienware, but I got my Cyberpower for $3,600. It has all the same specs and vid cards etc. I could not be more impressed.

I used the business bureau at first too. I thought it was good, but about 5 months into it I realized my mistake.
