Leadtek Winfast GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB DDR Graphic Card

I'm glad I bought this card. Ever since opening the box, I have never regretted this purchase.

Once connected onto my 2ghz+ machine, this graphics card flew like the wind. Using Quake 3's internal FPS benchmark, it clocked a whooping 322 fps at 640x480 pixels! Playing it at 1280x1024 pixels and 32-bit color, the game never looked prettier at 175 fps! My benchmarks beat both my friends on the same resolution (they have Radeon 9000 by HIS EXCALIBUR and GF4 Ti4200 by Sparkle).

I plugged the television into the card using S-Video connectors and attempted to use the bundled Ulead VideoStudio 6 to capture some footage from a movie channel. Using Ulead, the video source was configured to be captured and compressed on the fly into MPEG-1 video (VCD). The quality of the video capture was average and pretty much as much as was expected from this card, retaining about 70-80% of original TV broadcast quality. Not bad in my opinion.

Not having a separate LCD screen, I was unable to test the dual-monitor function of the card (usually one is through VGA and the other through DVI), but my friend with the Sparkle GF4 Ti4200 was able to connect two screens (one CRT, one LCD) flawlessly, both able to display different things simultaneously so I'd expect no different from my LeadTek/Winfast card.

Coming packaged with such software as WinDVD, Ulead VideoStudio 6 and COOL 3D software, and such games as AquaNox, plus more, this card not only has the bells and whistles, but also the grunt to make it all work.

Value for money and highly recommended!
