Through My High End Speaker System, The 7.1 Works

Through my high end speaker system, the 7.1 works fine... Be your own judge of value. But for me the bad points also come when it works, on my windows 2.8 it needed a 'jump start' every other time, even after getting the Windows patch. In XP Pro, it won't work at all! Therefore I do not recommend the Audiotrak Maya 7.1.

Not Only Does Audiotrack Maya 7.1 Advertise Their

Not only does Audiotrack Maya 7.1 advertise their products to be Microsoft compatible (WHICH THEY ARE NOT), they don't even offer tech support when there is a problem which is inevitable because they are selling products to Microsoft users that are not compaitble, if they were you wouldn't get the error message stating that the driver is not digitally signed by Microsoft when you try to load their drivers.

I called Microsoft and they don't have any record of a MS digitally signed driver for the Maya 7.1, they also said that I should report audiotrack to Consumer Affairs for false advertising because apparently audiotrack has a history of selling products that are not compatible with Windows yet claiming they are.

The Maya 7.1 Made By Audiotrak Is Mostly Just For

The Maya 7.1 made by Audiotrak is mostly just for surround sound for things like a DVD plater and Home Theater on your PC, but that doesnt mean its that bad at gaming. The Maya works on Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP. The Maya 7.1 comes with WinDVD 4.0 by InterVideo, nTrack Studio by FASOFT, Maven 3D pro by Emersys. I haven't had any problems with it and it seems quite easy to install, It's capabilites are TruSurround XT, SRS Dialog Clarity, SRS TruBass, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital.EX, and ICE for up to 7.1 which takes regular MP3, and WAV. files and converts them to 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 surround sound. All and all its pretty good for a PC Home Entertainment set.
