Id Heard All The This N That Around Cables And Con
Id heard all the this n that around cables and connectors, the theories and the anti theory theories, I have had various cables and connectors in the past, many very well respected...
But Id bought a pair of Nordost Red Dawn RCA 0.6m interconnect on a gut instinct and was , well hard to describe accurately....
Im running a Musical Fidelity X-P100 into a Prima Luna Prolouge Four, Id been running this setup up for over half a year with some very fine home made loudspeakers sporting Beymer 8" woofers and Scan-speak 1" Dome 2094 series.
I was stunned by how different my system sounded when I added the Red Dawns between my pre and power amps, I was lacking some bass in my system, it was all there, smooth and powerful with all the bandwidth clean and crisper than before yet even warmer and fuzzier too! Yes I am hearing my system properly now. And its awesome from any source...
I had read many reviews before purchasing them, and a few reviewers mentioned it was system dependent, Although I havent as yet heard them with any other system, I suspect this could be the case, but they are utterly perfect in my system, + they look the part too.
I'm presently running the Nordost Heimdell on all my speakers and the Nordost Frey for my interconnect. Really love the stuff. If you ever have the opportunity or the cash move up to these levels. I would love to try Valhalla but would probably have to take out a second mortgage on my house. P.S. Oden is just ridiculous. 20 grand for speaker cable I don't think so . Art

I Had A Well Run In Pair Of Red Dawn Interconnect
I had a well run in pair of Red Dawn interconnect along with the companies cheaper Blue Heaven, various Straightwire, Rothwell, Cambridge Audio and Van Den Hul cables over an extensive two week comparison to find a good match to replace my Exposure interconnect between power and pre-amp.
To be fair, none of the cables sounded poor, in fact all improved over the original Exposure sourced lead. Unfortunately none of the cables were in the same league when pitted against the Chord Chorus 2. I suspect it was a synergy thing but whatever it was the Chord cable simply allowed the music to flood out and I have not looked back since.
I have since replaced all my system cables with Chord Anthem 2 which really produces a beautiful and expansive sound with all music, like the Chorus only more control, more detail.
I just wanted to maximise my systems potential and have been rewarded with a very satisfying sound.
Also found Chord as a company incredibly attentive to customer requirement and are happy to loan cable through dealership and give advice on upgrading any system new or, like mine, rather old.
Would concur with previous reviewers that it is important to allow time for cables to give a true acount of their capabilities and that Red Dawn may well suit other systems perfectly well.

I Use Nordost Red Dawn And It Is An Amazing Cable,
I use Nordost Red Dawn and it is an amazing cable, truly recommended. Between the expensive Valhalla, specially now with the new line of cables you can get a good price and this is, trust me an amazing investment. Amazing definition and soundstage, like non of the cables I have been using in my system.. It truly changes it.

Nordost Red Dawn Runs Well With Single Side Amps P
Nordost Red Dawn runs well with single side amps Pass, ect too pure for most push pull systems. Must have great power management, dedicated power line, short power cord, beefy ac control.
