Twice this week I have had long phone waits and eventual abortive conversation with EON. Several issues...the supply of codes for pre-payment cards - both didnt work and necessitated a 10 mile round trip journey. Promises to give me dates to take out the Gas pre-pay meter and install Smart meters. Guy lost my details and subsequently didnt call back even though I had taken time out on the day he initially proposed. (I am still waiting to hear and he was prompted again this morning).
Tried to resume my 'Live Chat this afternoon...it's not working! So spoke to another guy who seemed helpful and then we were cut off while he was checking the top up code.
EON is an absolute joke and dont be fobbed off with the fact 'sorry about that'. I have a file bursting with apologetic notes! My second attempt also failed as the line went dead after 9 minutes while I was being transferred to another department.In all, I have probably spent 8 hours, including wasted trips to top up the card and holding on to calls...
AVOID EON - I am now researching other providers.
