Thank you for this opportunity to give a testimony about learning Biblical Hebrew. As a second semester student in the class, under the direction of Eli Dahan, you know that I am learning from only the best. The course is a college level course, but it is wonderful that I, a retired and disabled Respiratory Therapist, am able to participate in the class through computer technology. I and fellow students, in real time, can hear and see not only our teacher, but each other. One class member is in New Zealand, 1 in Alaska, 1 in Texas, and myself in Kansas. Prof Eli, can not only monitor our progress, but also correct our pronunciations at that time. What a remarkable class through which I can learn the Torah, Writings and Prophets in the language they were written.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I am not, nor have I ever been an employee of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, nor a team member of the E-Hebrew group. I am a retired health care worker.

I am now a third semester student with a different teacher who is the best for this part of the learning cycle. She is tough, but needs to be. I have classmates in Louisiana, North Carolina, England, and Austria.

Yet again, you wont believe I am a real person, a real student of the program. Too bad, you have a chance to learn something new. It doesn't have to be Biblical Hebrew. It could be Modern Hebrew, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.
