I sent a rose plant to my Mum. When it arrived, there was the wrong message on the card, so she did not know who it was from.
3/4 of the plant was dying - leaves were dropping off.
On closer inspection, she found that it was not a plant in the pot, but 4 pieces of plants, 3 of which were already dead - like you might get from someone trying to rip you off!
Also, it was accompanied by care instructions for an indoor plant: roses are normally kept outside on a patio.
