When I purchased my Britannia Cooker for over £4000 I though I was buying a top quality cooker from a British Manufacturer. That was a mistake. They're made in Italy and shipped over here where the badge is stuck on the front. Now, we all know the quality of Italian electrical items (remember Alfa and Fiat). We've had nothing but trouble with it. I've had 6 visits now and it's just gone wrong again. The timer has failed 3 times, the knobs fall off, the ignition fails and now the 'speedy' heat-up oven failes to speedily heat up and turns it's self off. They've so far done everything under warranty as I created so much they kept extending it. Lets see if they do it again... I doubt it. The last cooker we had was a Belling and cost £1500. That lasted 15 years without 1 problem.. There you go Britannia - try taking a leaf out of their book.
