“Very difficult to contact for warranty work”

★★☆☆☆

written by AndyMTZ on 04/07/2023

The Conservatory build in 2017 went reasonably well. Anglo outsourced the ground work and brick work to a Coventry company, who were slow, and on inspection afterwards, did a shoddy job. Couldn't get them to come back to tidy it all up. The actual conservatory work was done very well. Then in 2019, after builders dropped a plank through the conservatory roof, it took ages to get Anglo to reply to my constant calls to talk to the builders about glass suppliers and fitting a new pane, so as to keep in all under warranty. Finally got the builders to do it all, at their cost. Now in June 2023, one of the large roof panes has shattered, but only the inner or the double glazed unit. I have phoned, emailed and texted Anglo to replace the pane, as it is still under warranty, but the refuse to respond, and do not answer the phone. I have left about a dozen polite messages for them. I had a text from Rebbeca, who works for them, saying to call later, and she'd discuss. But after umpteen attempts, I get no response. So, as far as I'm concerned, Anglo are not a company to deal with. Very poor after sales and warranty response. AVOID.

We’ve had so many problems it’s unbelievable this company force you to pay up front for all materials then when they start putting it up it’s not even what we ordered then when you finally get the boss to visit with the original sales man the sales person makes out your a liar and it’s excactly what we ordered, avoid at all costs 3 day build now into 5th month

We are into month 5 of a 6 week build. The sad thing for us is that we approached Anglo having had a bad experience with our original builder who left our extension in a bad way. We used Anglo for a conservatory job on our last home in 2016 so enlisted their services end of Nov 2019 to build an orangery extension to house our kitchen. Told build would start in Jan. We had already had groundworks done so builders came mid Jan to put up brick and block work only. Took less than a week, no work for a further 2 months to get roof up and no communication as to why the big delay Job has now stalled, with no work now for 5 weeks. Appreciate covid situation, but given our pre covid experience of lack of customer care, suspect we are just another set of customers being juggled amongst many jobs started that they can't finish, in a timely manner. Will never use or recommend again as have no idea when this will ever end and have totally lost faith in building companies. Adjusting to living with no kitchen as a result!

It has been over 12 months now for us and STILL waiting for the 10 year warranty.. phoned texted, WhatsApp the person I dealt with she promises after promises to send out. Then waiting for new ones too come in.. Stay away xx do not use x sorry others have had bad experience.. before covid-19 began seeking legal advice. We have photos of shoddy drain work, and texts sent between Anglo reps etc got good case......
