I had waited 2 months for a window to be repaired under my insurance policy with Anglian. Eventually the appointment was booked for yesterday between 8-5 but I was told the engineer would call me in the morning to let me know the time they would be arriving. I received no call before 11 so I rang the office and was told they would contact the engineer and ask him to ring me. He rang and informed me he would be with me between 1-5 and when I asked if he could be more specific he just said "No I can't".
He turned up at 2.15 and did not introduce himself other than to say "Anglian". He was not wearing a face mask and when I questioned this he said he could if I wanted him to. When I confirmed that I did, he sighed and reluctantly went to his van to collect one. He was not wearing gloves and when he had finished the repair he handed me his phone without sanitising it for me to speak to the office after him to confirm the job was completed. He hardly spoke two words throughout his visit and I found his manner very unpleasant and his demeanor morose. If I wasn't so keen to have the window fixed I would have asked him to leave.
