Cancelled Our Booking With A Week To Go

Booked an apartment in Valencia with Friendly Rentals. We got an email to say that the company had to cancel our booking a week before we were due to fly. Very stressful and won't be booking with them again.

Poor Maintenance On Apartments

Just rented the Madville II apartment in Madrid for one month. The location was excellent but the maintenance in the apartment was very poor. There were patches on wall that required paint and the refrigerator had big dents on front door. The apartments in upper level were being renovated so the construction noise went on for 39 days non stop! When mentioned to Friendly rentals, they're told us that the debts and patches were done by the suitcases of previous tenants (the tenants were giants with 10 foot tall suitcases!) and that they had no control in regards to the construction on upper apartments. We found out from the construction workers that all apartamentos in building are managed by Friendly Rentals! The damage deposit was not refunded ion time and when trying to find out why it was not, Friendly Rentals seemed to be annoyed at the fact that they had to return the deposit. Will not rent with this company again.

Poor Service And Quality

We have been FR customers since 2010. They had great personalized service. If you rented an apartment, they would meet you at the apt to provide keys, important info etc.

We just spent 2 weeks in Spain and rent 9 off 14 nights with the.

Not satisfied at all. St drew and quality have gone down. Worst experience in Granada. No internet, TV or telephone for 3 night stay. Rep said, it was like that for 2 months.

We are sorry to write this but we will not be renting with them again. They got big and lost the Friendly touch and service levels.

Unprofessional, Poor Service

1. We were required to show up at their office in Valencia and pay everything in advance. Despite sending our arrival time, when we called from the airport at 9:30am, we were told the offfice didn't open until 11. Then asked to please not show up right at 11 because they needed some time in the office before we arrived. Left to make our way there and waste time hanging out with three huge suitcases until they decided to open. We got the keys and were told there "should be some taxis" at the end of the street. No one accompanied us to the apartment to give us any further information about the place. First time I've ever encountered this.

2. Toilet didn't work when we arrived (this is why agents accompany guests to the rental properties) and remote control for the air conditioning had been removed. When we called to inquire, Guy on the phone took it upon himself to immediately insult "you Americans who just want to turn on the air conditioning all the time." The insult was unprofessional, and advertising a feature that isn't available borders on unethical. I'm currently covered in bug bites because the apartment was hot, and of course, there were no screens on the windows.

3. The system for rubbish disposal is complicated-all rubbish needs to be sorted, and the bins are down the street, around the corner and two blocks down the next street. It's almost unbelievable that they gave none of this information to the guests. Instead there were notes all over asking us to make sure and leave trash in the bins outside the door. Really unprofessional.

4. The paint was peeling in the bathrooms and should be repaired, due to hard water, the shower heads are crusty and gross, the outdoor area furniture is grey from weather, the induction stovetop is great, but difficult to operate, better instructions needed.

To sum, service was really not good, and I certainly wouldn't rent from this outfit again.

Pegasus Apartment, Near Piazza Navona

Fantastic location off Via Gulia, ground floor so very accessible for 5 women in their 50's! very clean, well equipped, well maintained. While check-in is listed as 3 pm our contact was willing to meet us there at 11 am as our flight was an early one.

Lots to see a short walk away, supermarket close by. within a 15 minute stroll of a variety of eateries, wine bars and cafes. 20 minutes to Trastevere snd all it's charms. I honestly could not criticise anything except to say it would not be suitable for young children as there are stairs with no handrails, great value when we were there from wed-sat in March.

Excellent Holiday Rental

Our apartment was clean, comfortable and bright. We had plenty of room and a wonderful walk in closet. The kitchen was well equipped and we were even provided with coffee filters. It was especially nice to have an elevator and wifi that worked well. While not near the Plaza Catalunya area, the apartment's location was perfect for us....public transportation was within walking distance as were several grocery stores and restaurants. The people we dealt with on the phone and at the office were most accommodating.

Wonderful Location, Cozy And Well-appointed

First, Friendly Rentals ia an absolute pleasure to work with. They deliver very good customer service. Second, this is a very comfortable apartment. It is a comfortable one-bedroom, cozy and well-appointed (except for the stained couch, I thought it very nice.) It is on the dark side, though (this might be a benefit in the hotter, summer months.) The location is fantastic. It has all the benefits and vitality of MalasaƱa but is on a quiet street. Highly recommend.

Great Location And Service

Wonderful location by the opera house. Had initially rented another property that had a problem. Friendly Rentals relocated us to a better apartment and location at the same price. Very pleased with this service. Property quite well maintained and clear. Had a couple of small issues, which staff immediately addressed to our satisfaction. I would rent from them again.

Great Service Great Apartment

We stayed in one of your apartments in Barcelona and it was really a great place. We we met by one of your team at your reception and she really made us feel welcome. She went out of her way to be helpful providing maps and details of a luggage store for our final day.

The facilities in the apartment, the cleanliness, the space, the location we would give everything a 10 out of 10. The only minus point was the wifi signal which was a little weak. We had a great holiday and the apartment contributed to that very much.

We would recommend both the apartment and the company very much.
