Started off really well. Cleaner was superb & did a really good job.
Unfortunately the cleaner was taken seriously ill & was unable to clean anymore. We contacted Maid2Clean Wakefield (actually based in North Manchester) & they said they would arrange a replacement ASAP. We were contacted & told a cleaner would be there but then 24 hours before she was due to come, we got a text to say that she too was ill & couldn't attend. Same thing again the following week, told a cleaner would call, everything arranged & then another text saying the cleaner could not come due to some personal catastrophe.
During this time, Maid2Clean are still taking their £3.50 per hour (x 3 per day) each week. When we challenged them about this we were told it was to cover insurance (for a non-existent cleaner?) & the costs of finding another cleaner.
I appreciate that our first cleaner falling ill was nobodies fault. However, how can a company justify charging £10.50 (3x£3.50 per hour) per week, for in excess of 6 weeks during which time we were without a cleaner.
My advice to potential customers. Read the small print before you agree to anything. These people will charge you regardless of whether they provide a cleaner or not. In essence they provide an introduction & very little else. AVOID.
