Great light effects stole the show!

Mark from The Cool Kids Party www.thecoolkidsparty.com was very professional, courteous, had a great “affinity” with kids as it states in the website and put on a great show. Everyone young and old loved the lights and effects and the kids danced themselves into a sweat and cooled down with the more mellow magic bit before eating. (Good timing!)

Mark was quick and responsive to emails and planning, clear with his expectations on timings for everything, and arrived well on time with no hiccups whatsoever having factored in plenty of buffer/traffic time into his schedule. He also wasn't there to be the centre of attention (even though he was for the kids). In contrast to a kids DJ/entertainer I'd seen earlier who put his marketing material all over the place turning the party "look" into a promotional centre, Mark is tactful and not into promoting the company or himself. He recognises that the kid and birthday child is and should be the centre of attention. Parents simply went to him to ask for his card without him shouting about it.

The only critique is I would definitely try and put in at least a handful of the birthday kids' favourites along with the set list. It's a great idea to get the parents dancing with the kids but not to YMCA! :-) I'm allergic to that song.

We bought the extra feature of the UV light and purchased UV activated face/body paint, etc. that the kids got stuck into while the party was just starting. It was fantastic combination with Mark's new light feature and I highly recommend it. Bubbles, smoke, laser beam style lights... Even the manager of the restaurant where we had the party wanted Mark to come back and add some fun to their evening gigs too!
