I contacted Adrian after being referred to him by RICS. I had an issue with a neighbour over a boundary that was clearly not going to be easy to resolve. However, after my initial conversation with Adrian (which was free!) he gave me pointers on what to do next to diffuse the situation. I was always worried about costs, and he explained that there are various options in the way the dispute could be handled. He calmly and clearly gave me assistance on working out the best way to proceed and made me realise that there is a way of sorting things out without recourse to lawyers. Adrian got involved in a very helpful dialogue with my neighbour and he must have given them similar advice about costs and implications, because the matter was then resolved with the minimum of fuss and we came to a clear understanding and agreement with the position for the boundary and after a simple matter of agreeing a drawing with the neighbour to show more accurately where our mutual boundary was, and registering this agreement with the Land Registry, we have saved thousands of pounds in fees and the acrimony that a legal battle would have caused, not to mention the implications on future sales for both us and our neighbours if the dispute had lingered. Thoroughly recommend Adrian as a true expert who goes that extra couple of miles to ensure that everything is done that could smooth a very difficult matter. As Adrian advised right at the start, he could not guarantee that the neighbours would be cooperative and we seriously expected them not to cooperate. To our surprise, after Adrian had approached them the matter immediately appeared less confrontational and more constructive dialogue was continued.
