“Buying a new caravan”

★★★★★

written by Josie12 on 24/02/2013

My wife, grand daughter and myself attended the NEC caravan show this February 2013 with the intension of looking at and possibly purchasing a new caravan. We knew what we wanted and looked at the Wandahome stand where we spoke to Ian Simms (sales) who showed us round the caravan concerned, he was very informative, very friendly but with no pressure to buy. We left their stand to compare the caravan/deal with other dealers at the show and they were by far the best in what they were offering and their dealers atitude. We then returned and made the deal and are hoping for collection in April. If their PDI and the exchange goes as good as their sales then we will be happy customers. Also their hospitality was excellent, even down to how they treated our 15 month old grand daighter.

“Pleased with aftersales staff.”

★★★★☆

written by BaileyFan on 11/02/2013

We bought our caravan from Wandahome and in January I took it back for its second annual service. The weather was not kind to us. On the day I was due to collect our caravan the country lane that we live on was covered with snow and ice. I phoned [name removed] and she immediately arranged for the caravan to stay at Wandahome until the conditions improved. After a week the weather had improved and I drove the 60 miles from home to Brough to collect our caravan. The work had all been completed and a technician explained to me what had been done to rectify a minor problem. The staff were helpful and I will return to Wandahome for the caravans next service.

“The best deal”

★★★★★

written by thomasperry12 on 01/02/2013

We travelled from North Wales to The Lawns show in September as this was the first launch date of the Bailey Unicorn. However in our opinion the new style did not suit our requirements. I suggested we look at the Pegasus 2 which had all the design features of 2012 Unicorn. [name removed] was the salesman we spoke to - on return to North Wales, we liked all the info that [name removed] gave, the price offered for our own caravan and the fact that we could make slight alterations to the seating area (at extra cost)which was one of the design features we liked in the 2012 Unicorn. We went back the next day to order our caravan. Unfortunately the delivery date by Bailey's was given as January, but the wait was worth it. [name removed] kept us fully informed, and the price for our caravan was exactly the figure given on swap over. Wandahome in our opinion gave excellent service from the moment of meeting [name removed]at the show (who was not one of your pushy salesmen), [name removed] then introduced herself over the phone and the overall service could not have been better. When we are ready to change our van we would not hesitate to make the long journey once again.

“After sales service.”

Having owned 15 caravans over 45 years of caravanning I have used many different dealers, and I am very pleased to say that the attention I have received by all staff at Wandahome (South Cave) has been second to none.

“After Sales Service”

★★★★★

written by manda33 on 03/01/2013

I would like to convey my thanks and appreciation to two members of your staff namely Teresa and Nigel in the after sales department, following some re-work to our caravan back at the Swift factory. Due to a change in my circumstances it has been difficult for myself to schedule and liaise with the caravan manufacturer, however under the leadership and management demonstrated by Teresa and Nigel the required warranty work was completed in a manner that I believe was above and beyond their normal course of duty. As a regular customer to Wandahome it was noted that following the appointment of Teresa and Nigel a distinct change occurred in the after sales department both in the professionalism and effective manner in dealing with issues that arose. Having had a number of years working in a service led business environment, it is essential to achieve high standard of customer satisfaction and is key to long term success and prosperity to the business. Judging from the experiences that I have had with Nigel and Teresa (both on this and other occasions) Wandahome should be proud of their contribution in achieving this standard and be complimented at the earliest opportunity.

“Purchase of new caravan”

★★★★★

written by on 21/11/2012

After a chance meeting at this years Caravan Show, I cannot recommend Wandahome (South Cave) highly enough. Having not found the caravan layout that we were after, a passing chat with Barry proved invaluable. He told us of a brand new van they had in stock, one that we had not even considered before. This proved to be the perfect van for my family and indeed the van we bought there and then at the show. From the first point of sales, Barry, to the Customer Support from Charis the overall experience has been amazing. Although we bought our caravan blind and they ours, we had all the information we needed. A brouchure was sent through the post and any questions we had, answered immediately. On the day of collection, they even paid for us to stay on a campsite overnight. Totally fantastic experience and I would not hesitate to buy our next caravan from them.

“Wandahome are Wandafull”

★★★★★

written by watsonthewoof on 12/11/2012

We came along to the Motor Home and Caravan Show at the NEC with a nearly new caravan reserved, however Wandahome showed us their range of 2013Swift Caravans and with the deal at the show we couldn't turn down our dream caravan. The salesman at the show let us take our time with no pressure, gave us all the information we needed and the hospitality that was given to us by Wandahome was faultless. We even were allowed to try the size of the bed so we knew that we could both lay on there being tall. We have since visited the showroom and again were treated really well after a long journey were given a lovely cuppa and made very welcome again. We are so looking forward to April when our perfect caravan arrives and are planning lots of breaks next year for us both and our lovely little woof who is wagging his tail with excitement in anticipation of his visit to Wandahome to collect the caravan with us. Thank you Wandahome we are so glad we met you all.

“All the info and help we wanted”

★★★★★

written by on 09/11/2012

We attended the NEC show to review the choices in the type of caravan we wanted. We found the staff on the Wandahome stand very helpful without being pushy. We were able to consider our options and ask loads of questions. When we had made our decision we were able to speak to the same rep again which we appreciated. Heather Meakin had a very pleasant manner and we enjoyed dealing with her. Very nice cup of tea and biscuits as well.

“What a let down!”

written by Dunbar on 08/11/2012

Aggressive sales representative, poor customer relationship. We arrived from Worcester looking forward to picking up our new caravan, but left disappointed and let down. What was agreed at the NEC (motorhome/caravan show)is not what we finished up with at South Cove.We are in the process of acquiring compensation.

Speaking as a Wandahome representative, we are all concerned about this review. We believe and stand by our policy of good service and great value products together with focused, attentive customer service. With this high level we have now achieved NCC Approved Dealership status.

NCC 'approval' is meaningless - the NCC is a trade body, financed by the caravan trade to look after the interests 0f manufacturers and dealers, not the interests of customers.

“Room for Improvement”

★★★☆☆

written by on 08/11/2012

The general experience of picking up a caravan from Wandahome needs improving. Having payed large sums of money for a van the fact that you pick it up in a yard full of puddles and loose stones takes the shine off the whole experience. Major faults meaning the return of the van to the muddy yard for rectification also make the picking up process far from enjoyable. The van themselves are excellent but the surroundings do detract from what should be a pleasant experience

“no pressure sales”

★★★★★

written by ipage49 on 06/11/2012

Met at the caravan show by a a guy who introduced himself as Mark Griffiths told us if we needed any help to just ask and left us to it, (didn`t hover and pressure us like some)found a caravan we liked and asked him what sort of deal he could do for us part exchanging our existing van. A coffee and a buscuit later we worked out some figures and he came up with a deal. The deal offered, he sugested we have a look round to see if anyone could match or better it for our own peace of mind, again not trying to pressure us, which we were very comfortable with. Can`t wait for March when we get uor new van thanks Mark.

“Sales ”

★★★★☆

written by TouringAndrew on 06/11/2012

We visited the Sales Stand at The NEC Caravan shop in October we found the sales team to be very helpful and gave lots of information they did not give us the hard pushy sell. Nothing is worse for us ,once we get a salesperson trying to push and be very hard sell we will leave. In fact it did cost another salesman the sale at another company where we had seen a van we liked before we saw the Wandahome stand. we were a little dissapointed not to be able to see the actual layout of all the models some of the caravans were the same layout just with a different level of finish. but we did buy a caravan from Wandahome so we did like what we had seen

“A great experience we love the caravan Wandahome brilliant”

★★★★★

written by grahamhughes on 06/11/2012

We where made to feel special, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The caravan had no problems (this is only the second time i,ve taken delivery of a caravan without problems). That one was also from Wandahome, the caravan we bought was a dealer special and keanly priced we did not want a costly overpriced unit with a few extra bits added..Wandahomes's policy of putting us on a local site, with a free meal shows great style and generosity. We both thank you very much, my wife and i had no intention of buying a caravan from the NEC but your style and presentation attracted us and that was enough to sway us. We did have some problems getting to the caravan site and restaurant from south cave and some extra map detail would have helped.I repeat my thanks to the staff at south cave .

“A good experience”

★★★★★

written by on 14/08/2012

We first visited Wandahome, after going to the accessories shop, with no intention of purchasing a new van. We were able to access the new caravans and staff were there to open those that were locked.Staff were on hand to answer questions, but we were left on our own, to have a good look without being hassled. We approached staff and asked questions and were offered a quote, for exchange on our previous van, sight unseen. After a few days we decided to purchase a Corniche 17/4 and a date was arranged for delivery. The whole experience was a pleasurable and hassle free one.The delivery date arrived and the staff were very helpful- they had also arranged an overnight stay at a local site, as we live an hour an a half away. All the staff were courteous. Some of the salesmen might benefit from a greater, more indepth, knowledge of their product.

“New to caravanning this year”

★★★★★

written by ldevaney on 29/05/2012

We had a massive choice of vans and dealers at the NEC last October but Wandahome demonstrated a real desire to provide the spec we needed at a very competitive price with a stack of extras. Since ordering they have been great keeping us up to date, answering a lot of questions from us and hand over was a real pleasure. No problems anywhere so even though we live on the other side of the country I would buy from them again.

“Superb Service”

★★★★★

written by GeeBee26 on 25/05/2012

Dear Wandahome, We are writing to compliment your staff on the extremely efficient service that we have received over the past few months. Teresa in after-sales has such a lovely manner and is a pleasure to deal with. Recently we had to have a new door fitted on our Swift Escape 622 and she ensured that we were kept up to date with when this might arrive from the manufacturers. Similarly the decals that had to be floated on later. Today, whilst waiting for the decals to be fitted, I was looked after by Sam in reception and she provided coffee in a very polite way. Then Phil from sales popped-in to see me. We dealt with him when trading-in our previous motorhome. It was lovely. Nigel came and spoke to me too after the job had been completed. I also visited the on-site shop and the staff there made sure that I knew that they could help if I needed any information. It is a great pleasure to visit and re-visit your South Cave site as you have such wonderful staff, and we always pass your name on to our friends and people that are caravanners or motor-homers. Many thanks Gordon and Rachel Beastall
