Not happy

At first we thought the service was good, but with hindsight maybe we was just been told what we wanted to hear.

We bought our first van from them and not knowing anything about caravans we had to put our trust in their sales man, from day one we had what we referred to as the caravan smell, we asked them about this and was told it's an older van and they all smell like that, but once we have used it a few times it will go.

11 months on we took it for a service, again we mentioned the smell that was still there, we was then told it's the spare wheel, we took the spare out for the next month and the smell didn't go, on the service they had passed it, including damp testing, everything was OK.

A month later we decided to buy another van as the first one was always going to be a "dip our toe in" van to see if we enjoyed it, when we traded it in we got shown pimpling and where the damp had rotted, as we had always thought the caravan smell was nothing to do with the spare or the fact all older vans smell like that.

I rang Albion and sent them a copy of the damp report and asked how could they pass it a month earlier when it was clearly damp, he said he had no real answer why that would happen but he would talk to someone else who wasn't in until Wednesday, he was going to ask him and get back to me, as I thought I never got a phone call from them.

It has left a bad taste with us and I certainly won't buy from them again, we have ended up buying almost everything from new because the smell is ingrained in everything that was in there.
