Buying a car from Dace Motors was a really simple and easy procedure and they even arranged the finance for me and allowed me to use their computer to check how much my insurance would cost. However once we had signed on the dotted line Dace Motors no longer wanted to know us. They couldnt give me a delivery date for the vehicle and every day I had to call to see if I could collect the vehicle. After I collected the vehicle I realised that the parking assist did not work and also the clutch was making a funny noise. I spent two weeks trying to get hold of the salesperson who had sold me the car to be constantly told he would call me back but never did, during this time I tried to minimize my use of the car to prevent any further damage. Eventually I asked to speak to a manager to be told they didnt have one but managed to speak to somebody who arranged for the service department to call me back. I cant fault the service department who promptly returned by call and arranged for the car to be booked in the following week this meant for three weeks I only had minimum use of the car and was having to pay £12.50 a week for a bus pass to work. The Saturday before my car was due to go back to Dace motors to be fixed I had to use to visit the local shops about 2 miles away unfortuatly on the way there the clutch completly went leaving me stranded at the side of the road. I phoned Dace Motors who told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to arrange to have the car brought to them. This cost me £90 for a tow truck which all could have been avoided had they called us back at the start. When we bought the car we were told that they would also include 12 months TAX but due to the car still having a tax disc they gave us a cheque made payable to the PO instead to cover the cost. We have now just had the tax renewal and found that the cheque they sent only covers 6 months and not the 12 months that was agreed as per the paperwork I have contacted Dace Motors about this but guess what. I am waiting for them to call me back. Currently my car has cost nearly an additional £250 never mind the amount of time and inconvience caused. I have sent an email to Dace Motors regarding this but have not recieved a reply. My advice would be dont buy a car from here. It may be cheap but will end up costing you more in the long run.
