Initial experience was excellent - they contacted me quickly to arrange repair and collected the car on the agreed time/date. They were very difficult to get hold of later in the process, although I would hope this was due to staff issues during Covid close down, as opposed to normal practice. I had to contact my insurer, who couldn't get through to them either.

In terms of positives - the actual repair was perfect, you really cannot tell where the damage was.

My one major criticism is that when the car was delivered, there was a loud noise coming from the vehicle. I mentioned this to the delivery men, who said it would stop when the vehicle cooled down and was probably just the fan.

I checked under the bonnet and found that my coolant tank was completely empty and the plastic lid was missing. I regularly check both my coolant and my oil, as my daily commute is quite long, so I know this was not an issue when they collected the vehicle.

When I called Solus to discuss, they told me they needed to check with the delivery men to see if any warning lights were showing and would contact me but I am yet to receive a response.

I cannot drive my vehicle at the moment as the plastic cap on the coolant tank is missing and my hire vehicle has now been collected.
