I ordered 2 gas struts for the hatchback of a Peugeot 207 because of the good price, I should have read the reviews. Received a delivery 8 days after ordering to find the box was empty, I have tried to contact the company, surprisingly no response, on to UPS to try to find out if they know anything, at least they reply. I won't hold my breath.

“24h delivery is not as expected...”

So, I placed an order for a clutch cable, paid the extra carriage charges for 24h delivery as I was planning to drive to France... Three days later I am still waiting for the cable and have now been told that 24h delivery means "working hours"... WTH?!?! Thats THREE DAYS which is the standard delivery time anyway so WHY did I pay for 24h delivery that quite clearly stated on the website, when I placed the order, that delivery would be the following day! I have asked for a refund of the extra carriage charge and still not getting anywhere, still don't have the cable and still not able to drive to France! They are a nightmare!!!

“Outrageously poor is an understatement!!! TIME WASTERS!!”

Website informs all in stock. Site indicates Tuesday dispatch.Order placed then site informs Wednesday dispatch. All this Sunday eve... Next Wednesday part of the order arrives from UK. Later same day they inform part of the order out of stock!! Anyway they dispatch the rest what only arrives Friday (5th day )noon. Wife signs UPS,delivery man nicely places parcel into hallway right on the carpet! Come home open box oil everywhere cause some conard french cut into box just to have a minor leak. Oil filter sent incorrect! 2 same type filters ordered one out of stock 2nd not even the ordered type... So much for flushing engine then using clean good oil. Bank holiday weekend no oil filter. Je vous remercie beaucoup sale race de merde francais!!!!!!!! So everyone please learn from this! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! WHO PAYS FOR THE CARPET???? WHO PAYS FOR TIME WASTED? Regarding the delivery we would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the 48h delivery counts from the moment we ship the order. Before that we need some preparation time which varies from a few hours to a couple of working days, depending on the availability of the ordered parts.
We have forwarded your feedback to our logistic department. Regarding the availability of the parts offered, when a part is not available we always try to source it from our main suppliers.

“Nothing to complain about”

I live in France and have used the mister-auto.com site over here, though I use the UK site to cross reference as I don't really trust my French that much. I have made half a dozen orders now, for things like brake pads, filters and the like. I only had one go wrong, which was not the fault of mister-auto. I have found the quality of their stuff to be OK and delivery when they have promised it. The French customer care has some differences to what you experience in the UK, but in the main they are reliable and trustworthy. I think you can give the site a go.

I phoned as the part which I came up with my reg no do not fit. The operator was very courteous and apologised. I had my money credited. Having found the proper part, which was a couple of items down from the one sent. I would say my fault. However I phoned to explain and advised, by another operator, to order on while the phone, a further 15% taken off. Overall very good service, a lot of others should learn from them!!!

Like most people, I always research before buying to mitigate potential disappointment. Upon reading reviews for Mister Auto I was obviously concerned however decided to order anyway as I wasn’t in a rush for the part and their price was easily cheaper than other suppliers. I purchased a brand new high powered 1.4kw starter motor for my Saab 9-3 2.0t convertible for less than £45 delivered using an online code that reduced the price by a further 15%!!! Once ordered, I received an email highlighting the delivery schedule and a UPS tracking number. The item was ordered on Thursday and arrived from France as per schedule within four days. Packaging was excellent; double boxed with plenty of bubble wrap and air bag packaging included. The part itself is of excellent quality and well manufactured with good quality motor housing, bendix, copper threadings etc… In all an excellent experience and I would certainly use this online supplier again.

“People who has no clue how to order parts online”

Now first of all everyone who is writing here bad comments about mister auto they are not realised that they are ordering wrong parts and then blaming Mr.A!!! Let`s talk about a simple thing when you enter your reg number than search for example rear brake cylinder some makes/models has 2,3,or 4 different types which is displayed on a screen,(this is because car makers not Mr.A!!!)than if you can not decide which one is yours you should check your original part what you want to replace and than you avoided to order wrong part! You do not have to be a very clever people to do this,before you ordering from France! I never got wrong parts from them because I ordered exactly what I need! If you are not able to choose your parts,because you are not a mechanic or you are just simply stupid for it do not order car parts online! Go to the main dealer and pay triple price for parts or double price at any mechanic! One of the comments favourit: I placed my order,than I cancelled than the money gone from my account... HAAHHAAHHAA Why are you ordering if you do not want? If the transaction went through,yes your money gone and I belive lot of hassle to get back! But why did you ordered??? Happy online ordering in the future Guys!

“communication not good”

ordered 3 piece LUK clutch, received 2 piece VALEO.. waited about a week for this to be sorted, and not the way i wanted either! Would have been nice to be asked what i actually wanted to happen instead of someone (not me!!) just deciding to send me the a release bearing for a clutch i didnt order.. yes its nice to get some parts cheaper but this kind of customer care is quite frankly mince wont be ordering again, euro car parts in the future

“Brilliant!”

I rang Mister Auto and was told that delivery of an alternator for my father's Peugeot 106 would be about 3 days. I needed the alternator in two days. As the price was so good - £45 including delivery - I took a risk. The alternator arrived the very next day - from Lyon in France! I was able to track the parcel accurately - and discovered that the alternator was loaded onto a plane in Lyon airport the same day that I ordered it. The "Bolk" alternator looks brand new, and works perfectly. I think that "Bolk" is Mister Auto's own brand. My local village garage charged £90 to fit it .... They wanted to sell me a Lucas alternator for £165!

I found this website while searching for parts and was impressed by the low priced for brand names Lemforder, TRW, Febi, Delphi and Moog, oh.. and Bolk? I was even more impressed that any of these seemed available from the same vendor. After reading many negative reviews, I was concerned that there would be a problem with my oder for two Audi A8 control arms. As I was paying by credit card I wasn't bothered by the money side as they always take care of disputes, but it would be a hassle too. I placed the order for half the price of Eurocarparts and they were dispatched 4 days later and arrived 2 days after that along with UPS tracking with SMS updates. The parts were correct and perfect.

“How not to operate a business”

As most others have already said, this company is an absolute shambles with ridiculous waiting times for parts and customer service staff who have no clue (twice they have offered me free delivery on my next order as compensation when delivery is free anyway ffs!). “Nearly got it right”

The value is excellent and found customer service very good. They cancelled my original order and credited my account within two days. I reordered alternative product and arrived nearly on time, but one item missing. Contacted customer service who arranged for it to be delivered next working day. “Big mistake, Mister-Auto hoax”

I canceled a pending order I had made by them, I received the confirmation that the Order was canceled, at that time the money was still on the account,after that surprise.. I received a notification over a refund (for the value of the canceled and not had to be delivered order )and the money vanished. They didn't had to deliver anything, but they took my money anyway from the account. I am curious, if i will get my money back(so called refund for nothing) Phone numbers - just answering machines with message, to log on on the site

“Excellent after sales service, but was I lucky?”

I have used Mister-Auto three times recently since discovering them a couple of months ago. My first order was for discs and pads for my Subaru, top quality components at an excellent price quickly delivered by UPS (excellent tracking service) from France, great. The second order was for drive belts, a slight problem as one of the belts was not the make I ordered, a little bit annoying but I can live with that as the quality of the belt was ok. But the third order, a Gates timing belt kit hit problems. The kit was quickly delivered from France again, but on arrival I found the Gates box had been opened, the parts had been fitted, the tensioner activated, the idler pulleys were showing scratch marks, one of the pulleys was missing and another pulley from a different Subaru engine was in the box. I quickly reported this to Mister-Auto and they dispatched a replacement kit the next day even before they had received back the original kit which was easily returned with the docket emailed to me. So excellent first class after sales service, just a shame it had to be put to the test.

“ You've been warned...”

I have no reason to doubt the (few) five-star ratings on here, even if your reaction might be to wonder who actually wrote them. For my part this crowd of clowns are a complete disgrace who don't merely occasionally drop the ball - instead their entire business model is just rubbish. Trist me, they don't have the bits they show as 'in stock', they debit your card the moment you place an order rather than when they fulfil (itself a questionable practice), when you chase for delivery they finally confess they don't have the part, and at the time of writing no refund is forthcoming. They are shower of rubbish people and the only regret is that they are clearly getting away with leaving a trail of destruction before they meet justice - but that day is coming. Don't ignore the reviews (I made that mistake). Look at the stats, do the maths, and proceed at your peril. I know it all sounds so plausible, but ask yourself "'could they be lying?". The answer to that question is 'yes', so listen to your head ...

“Very Difficult Company to Work With”

I placed an order and did not recieve all the parts & had parts which I did not even order after complaining I recieved no answer or explanation from them had to use pay pal to get monies back very poor service they tend to leave you out in the open the aftersales situation is very poor. This is clearly a managerial situation within their company lack of staff or poorly paid staff do not expect back up from this company even as today I am still waiting for a reply from this company

“Shameful”

I must be a complete idiot because I keep going back for more, attracted as many are by reasonable prices for well known brands. For me the reality has been that 6 out of 8 of my orders were not fulfilled. Items shown as being in stock and then 24 hours later e mail to inform me that they were unavailable. Trite customer service replies advising me that they ship 3000 orders and so on.... Paypal reimbursements were delay on each occasion. I think this is a shameful and potential customers should seriously consider looking elsewhere for their car parts.

As we have many order and the quantities of the parts sometimes are limited we run out of stock very quickly.

“Terrible service and holding back refund ”

Ordered brake parts for my car to be told that one of the items was not in stock after I had paid. Tried to cancel the other part that was in stock but they told me it was too late as it had been dispatched which was a lie. I messaged them at 6:53am and they messaged back at 10:03 and told me the item had been sent. Looked at the UPS tracking note and it said it was ready for collection at 13:07 and picked up by them at 21:20. Also big problems trying to get a refund for the out of stock item. I have messaged them but still no refund. Paid with PayPal so have reported it to them. Avoid this campany and buy local, might cost a few pounds more but at least you will get good service and can easily return a item if it wont fit.

Regarding the cancellation of order w can not indeed cancel order once it is prepared to be send. This is how our website works for the moment. Please note that sometimes is required before the order is registered with UPS, however it is still not possible to cancel order while on the way to the delivery company.
Please be informed that because every case is different, it is impossible to give an exact deadline for the refunds to be issued.
However we do our best for the refunds to be confirmed as soon as possible.
We are sorry if this has not been clear from the start and we will use your comments and feedback to improve the information on the Mister-Auto website.

I am worried about their reviews as I can not afford any dubious mishaps with wrong parts, parts used, late delivery. They do seem cheaper.than most but if their service is poor then they become expensive. Has anyone got any advice for me?

Unfortunately I received a cam belt kit, belt, pulleys, tensioner etc. which had been previously fitted. But to credit Mister-Auto, they very quickly arranged collection of the 'used' parts and supplied a proper brand new kit. Fortunately, as it was just a routine cam belt change There was no real inconvenience. I have used Mister-Auto several times and everything else has been fine with good quick delivery, even with parts coming from Germany and France. I do spend a lot of time though making sure the parts I order are the correct ones, lots of cross checking part numbers etc. as I have found their parts listings are sometimes incomplete. I will certainly be using Mister-Auto again when there are significant cost savings. Otherwise I pop to my local Eurocarparts where I get excellent quick service with low prices.

I can 100% corroborate to "ancientdave"'s review. Used these lot only once. Wrong items arrived with a cut open oil container packed in France. Oil all over the place...Customer care was excellent but the delay caused was considerable. Second package properly arrived so they really did their best. If you are unsure of the exact part then local part dealer is best! I guess they source leftover stocks to be competitive... Might use them again but not too fancy about the idea. However other online shops are making the very same mistakes causing us delays and hassle!
