Worst consumer experience ever

Quoted for a 3-5 day delivery. Saga continued for 12 months, eventual replacement engine worse than one sent off to be reconditioned.

Engine surcharge not returned on a flimsy excuse. Warrenty & any guarantee worthless.

Terrible customer service.

Lost £1000’s, had to scrap car.

Would use again and would recommend. Had a very good experiece with the company and got my engine problems sorted. Don't know why so much ill feeling towards the company on here, but they certainly helped me out.

I won’t go in to the whole story but only to say I have lost a lot of money and am disabled and rely on my car and because of these people I now do not have one . I urge anyone who is in the same position and have lost money to these people to contact ACTION FRAUD it is so important that you do

These guys are the worst of the worst!! I urge and even BEG anyone not to go here, please save yourselves from the stories and loss of money that will surely come from any dealings with these guys.

Its a long stary Im happy to talk about but too long to type. In short... They promise an off the shelf engine with a quich 5 day turnaround/delivery. Payment only accepted via bank transfer (which makes you worried anyway) But under duress and believing that a company this big wouldn't be fraudulent. I paid in full.... 3 weeks later after numerous phone calls engine arrived but is wrong. I asked for a refund but not allowed because of their T&Cs. The original engine had to be sent back with the incorrect one. After a further 4-5 weeks and again, numerous calls to what can only be described as the worst call center I have ever dealt with. They truly are corrupt and immoral. The engine I eventually received (which was my own engine re-conditioned) has so far been running (touch wood), but to top off the bad service, incompetence and malpractice they still had my surcharge. this took a further 6 weeks to chase up and get an answer why it had not been paid. Today I had been told my engine was un-serviceable! The reason being the Con-rods and pistons. :) I instantly knew this was B.S. since my mechanic had gone through the issues and reasons for getting a new engine in the first place. All the issues were relating to the head itself. And if there was another head available at the time we could have just replaced that! But they are saying they are holding onto my money because of any reason they deem fit. I have seen it happen on so many other reviews (which unfortunately was read after I initiated our contract) that I knew they would be doing it before they actually told me!

Final Warning - Stay clear of them! please dont fall into the trap that I did. GO with anyone else but this company in paisley/Glasgow! If anyone wants to reach out and let me convince them that they should go else where please be my guest. I will make time for anyone I am saving from being treated as I was.

This company charged thousands of pounds for an engine that only last 4071 as it had been incorrectly reconditioned by Engineered Engines because a form had not been filled in by the garage that fitted the faulty engine. The garages lost thousands of pound and I also lost money as I did not have my care to work with. I would never use this company.

My local garage sent my taxi engine to be rebuilt. 4month later no engine no refund and no income. My garage sent over 2k up front deposit. This bunch won't refund the garage and still have my engine. My local garage even sent a mechanic to Glasgow to see what was happening, and he was surrounded by a bunch of guys intimidating him. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY AND ENGINE.

Do not use Engineered Engines or Net Motor Spares! They will not refund my “surcharge” despite Engineered Engines not obtaining my pre authorisation as listed in their own T&Cs for apparent “unserviceable vital components”. When this was pointed out to their customer service reps all I received was “no comment”. I’ve been chasing for my surcharge to be returned for a month and a half and all of a sudden there are replacement parts. Terrible to deal with. In the hand of citizen advice and trading standards as their registered address isn’t their registered address “addressee gone away” according to Royal Mail. Do not give them your money.

We paid over £2500 for a replacement engine and was promised a 5 day turn round as it was in stock. After 19 days of constantly phoning them and being given the run around we cancelled the contract due to non delivery. Now after over 7 weeks we still have not received any money back. We are now having to chase Engineered Engines Ltd /Net Motor Spares Ltd through the Courts for failure to comply with our Statutory Rights and non return of monies. We have a full paper trail back to them ,including contract , cancellation and money transfer. Please read the many negative reviews on the web about theses companies.

I wish we had spent more time searching for reviews and not to believe in the words on any of their websites. When you need a replacement engine for your car and you need that car for work you are up against a time scale and in a corner but please , please don't use them.
